Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII/02: Betrayal

This chapter starts in the Shinra Tower.

Shinra Tower

After the few cutscenes you will be free to move around. Don't forget to read your mails and to go grab the free item outside of the Briefing Room in the Supply Pod (Thunder materia). Also, new missions are available.

Leave the Briefing Room for now and talk to Kunsel. He will take you to the streets of Sector 8, where you can begin on starting the Side Quests.

Sector 8

You start at the blue exclamation mark on the map, first, go south to talk to the 3 women and join their fan club (only two of them will offer you to join their fan club). Then go north, since there is nothing interesting to the east.

Loveless Street

Talk to the guard on the right to unlock a set ofmission, the Side Quest Security Department Challenge, and then go to the north near the truck to receive a mail, then go to the alley talk to the woman to join her fan club. When you're done visiting, go back to Shinra Tower.

Shinra Tower

A woman will offer you a free drink, you can take it if you want. It will give you a Raise status, it's unlimited but not stackable, only one at a time. Then take the elevator to the SOLDIER Floor, and before heading back to the Briefing Room, visit the Materia Room. Here you will talk to a scientist and this will unlock the Side Quest Master Mako Stone Miner.
You can now go back to the Briefing Room to continue with the main story.

Briefing Room

After a short cutscene with Tseng, you will travel by helicopter to Banora.

Banora

Banora - apple orchard

There is a chest on your way that contains a Soma. Just after the Save Point, there is a boss fight.

Guard Spider

The spider has four types of attack.

• Robo claw / A simple attack with its fangs, be sure to dash back.
• EM Field / A circular electromagnetic field that deals massive damage. Just stay out of range.
• Spider Web / It's shot by its back, be sure to dodge or you'll be rewarder with a Stop status.
• Type 97 Cannon / A simple attack with its guns, a parry would suffice here.

After the battle, loot the chest north that contains an X-Potion.

Banora

There are 5 chests in Banora that you will need to open later, those can be missed, so keep a save in another slot just in case. The chest next to Tseng doesn't count, but take it anyway, it contains a Hi-Potion. You'll get a tip when it's time to find those 5 chests. You will not be able to take them now, but at least interacting with them now is important for later, so be sure to find them all! The thing is, for now they're not under their "Chest form", so take a look at the orange spots on the map to know where to find the interactive spots.
There is a chest to the right of the lonely house northeast of the fountain. When you're finished with chests and have found the 3 hidden spots, enter Angeal's House for a cutscene (it's the last one obviously).

Angeal's House

After the cutscene, grab the chest behind the table, it contains 5 Gils.

Banora

On your way to the factory, go interact with the orange spot before the road splits. Then take a right and, along the way, another chest that contains a Hi-Potion. On top of the cliff, you'll find a chest to your left, and the final orange spot in front of you. Regroup with Tseng for a cutscene.

Factory next to the village

After a fight, look behind you to find a chest that contains 500 Gils. Downstairs, there is another chest, and yet another before the Save Point. Then enter the office and then climb the stairs for another cutscene.
Now would be a good time to make a separate save because of the next events. Indeed, you will have a limited time to retrieve each item at each orange spot that you've found earlier.

Outside the Factory

When you are out of the factory, look to your right for a chest that contains Bronze Armlet, there is another to the back of the factory, it contains a Hi-Potion. Now run to the village and on your way, Tseng will call you to tell you about incoming shells, there will be a mini-game where you need to cut each shell at the right time, if you fail, just load your previous save. If you manage to do it, in Reunion you'll earn the "Slicin' SOLDIER" achievement. There are 10 shells to cut, and be careful, the last one will be presented differently.

After this, Tseng will tell you that the clock is ticking, because an airstrike is on its way! Run to each orange spot, starting with the one on the cliff, you should have plenty of time, but do not approach Angeal's House before having retrieved every item (Ether, Soma, X-Potion, Elixir, Phoenix Down). In Reunion, if you picked each item and reached Angeal's House before the airstrike, you'll earn the "Banora Treasures" achievement.

Collected all items and arrived at Angeal's house before the Banora airstrike.

When you'll reach Angeal's House, Tsen will call you to talk to you about your performance with the shells earlier, if you managed to cut them all, you'll get 1,000 Gils plus a bonus of 500 Gils. Now, enter Angeal's House for a cutscene.

Bahamut

Bahamut is strong, really strong. He sometimes make a "jump" attack, where he's out of view until he flies down, stay away in this case.

• Megaflare / his best attack, try to prevent it by attacking him repeatedly, depleting the bar.
• Laser Orbs / Not easy to avoid, you could always parry, or try to be close to Bahamut when he does it.
• Lightning Bolt / An item that reduces this kind of damage would be great against this attack.

After the battle, the chapter will end. In Reunion you will earn the "We're Not Monsters" achievement.
