Genji Armor consists of four elements, each boosting Zack's performence in different ways:
Genji Helm - keeps MP and AP cost at zero, gives information about enemy (the same way as Libra Materia)
Genji Armor - sets HP limit at 99,999, activates permanent Endure and Regen status
Genji Shield - absorbs elemental (fire, ice, lightning) damage, prevents negative status effects, activates permanent Barrier and MBarrier status
Genji Glove - sets damage limit at 99,999, activates permanent Crit status
Each part is obtained in a different way:
Genji Helm is available to purchase for 1,000,000 Gil from Network Shop Shade
Genji Armor is obtained by completing DMW at 100% (viewing all Limit Verge cutscenes, some of which are available only in the last chapter).
Genji Shield is obtainable from Magic Pot in M7-6-6: The Determined Recruiter. It requiers using Gil Toss, Costly Punch, dealing 99,999 damage and using Octaslash.
Genji Glove is obtainable in a treasure chest in M9-6-4: Biomechanical Threats.
TIPS
− Network Shop Shade is obtainable by finding it as a treasure in M9-5-4: Abnormal Power.
- To view all DMW cutscenes, it is recommended to use Special Materia of uncompleted Limit Breaks (percentage can be checked in Main Menu). It can be bought either in Research Dept. QMC+ (obtainable in Chapter 9), Network Shop Shade (look previous tip) Bone Village Commerce (obtainable as a treasure in M7-5-3: Girl on the Desert Island) or Junon Souvenirs (obtainable in M2-4-1: A Solitary Island) depending on the type.
- Gil Toss Materia can be won as a reward in M4-4-4, found as a treasure in M7-4-6, M8-6-3 and M9-5-3 or stolen from Scissor Devil.
- Costly Punch Materia can be found in M9-5-4, stolen from Mako Ifrit or fused from Goblin Punch (obtainable as reward from M4-5-4 or stolen from Vajradhara Kumbhira) and any of DMW Special Materia (second tip).
- To deal 99,999 damage equip Genji Glove or Brutal (reward from M7-4-6) and use Costly punch (previous tip).
- To increase chances of getting Octaslash Limit Break equip up to 6 Octaslash Special Materia (second tip).
- If Magic Pot hasn't been added to DMW, it won't give Genji Shield. First fulfill his requests on less advanced mission (M2-2-6, M2-5-4, M2-5-5, M2-5-6 or M10-2-3).
