He is one of Sora's best friends. He is also Sora's rival. He is fairly strong, and also is an extremely good ally to have, due to the fact he has a shield and ranged reaction commands. He also has one of the most powerful Limit Breaks in the game, and you get to control him for a few seconds, during the last battle. Very strong warrior, he also wields the Keyblade, in the form of The Way To The Dawn. He is only second to Sora (and Roxas) in terms of battle skills. Sora

Sora in his Kingdom Hearts II outfit.

Sora is the main character of Kingdom Hearts II. He is the wielder of the Keyblade, an important weapon within the story, which can both save and destroy worlds.

He has a very cheerful and upbeat personality, and can very easily make new friends. This causes him to act very loyal towards them, and not prevent him from helping them out if they get into trouble. He considers all of his friends to be on an equal level.

However, he is also very gullable on many issues (such as not realizing that Ping was actally a woman), and can hold grudges for long periods of time, for example, such as going after Xemnas because he's a possible threat.

Sora is a very skilled warrior, as he can off many enemies with relative ease, and he can also use magic, though at the beginning his abilities in both fighting and magic are relatively weak, due to his sleep in a pod in the basement of "The Mansion" in Twilight Town.

Jiminy's Journal

A boy chosen by the Keyblade, a mysterious weapon. Not long ago, Sora journeyed with Donald and Goofy in search of his longtime friends, Riku and Kairi, who had been spirited away into the darkness. In the end, they saved the world of all worlds from the darkness that was closing in. After that, Sora continued journeying in search of Riku, who was trapped on the other side of the door to darkness. And somewhere along the way, Sora fell into a deep slumber. Now that he is awake, he can't recall why he fell asleep to begin with. With a new outfit and strengthened resolve. Sora has set out once more on a search for his friends.

Donald Duck

One of Sora's best friends. He and Goofy are searching for king Mickey after he left the castle, and assisting Sora. Donald is the court magician of Disney Castle, and as such, is the most powerful magic wielder in your group (at least until Sora levels up magic all the way). He wields a magic staff, and has a hot temper, but can (and will) prove useful in battles against multiple enemies and bosses.

Goofy

One of Sora's best friends. He also is looking for the King, and helps Sora. He is the Captain of the Royal Guard at Disney Castle, and carries a shield. As such, he does have the highest defense and health of the group (At Least until Sora Levels up completely) and is a specialist with special attacks. Because of the variety of special attacks in Goofy's arsenal, combined with his normal attacks, Goofy is a great overall ally to have in any battle.

Kairi

Kairi in her Kingdom Hearts II outfit.

She is Sora's close friend (and possible love interest). She doesn't fight very often, but later on, she actually fights with a Keyblade! You can't control her, but it is pretty awesome to see her fight. She is a good friend to Sora.

Riku

Riku in his Kingdom Hearts II outfit.

His Reaction commands Dark Aura and Dark Shield are very useful teqniques in battle.

Journal Entries

Kingdom Hearts

  • First Entry

Islander. A self-confident youth always competing with Sora. He hated the monotony of island life and built a raft with Sora and Kairi to explore the outside world. Riku seems to have vanished along with the Destiny Islands.

  • Second Entry

Islander. A self-confident youth always competing with Sora. When the Destiny Islands vanished, so did he. By the time Riku reappeared, Sora had already found new friends, so Riku didn't rejoin him. Riku is willing to go to any length to save Kairi--even join forces with Maleficent.

  • Third Entry

Riku gained immense power through the forces of darkness. But ordinary humans are no match for the darkness, and it is gradually consuming his heart.

  • Fourth Entry

When Kairi lost her heart, Riku allied himself with Maleficent to save her. Riku was actually the rightful master of the Keyblade, but once he chose darkness over light, the weapon chose Sora instead. Ansem exploited Riku's weakness of heart and possessed him.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Sora's childhood friend.

Baited by the darkness and used by Maleficent and Ansem, Riku once fought against Sora.

In order to seal the door to darkness, Riku stayed with the king on the other side. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Sora journeys in the hopes of finding Riku.

  • Reverse/Rebirth

A boy who was born and raised on a small group of islands.

Riku dreamt of seeing other worlds, and so he forsook the islands--only to be seduced by the power of darkness.

Enslaved by Ansem, pursuer of darkness, Riku clashed with his childhood friend Sora. But in the end, he was able to regain himself, and together with Sora closed the door to darkness.

Still, the dark wounds in Riku's heart have yet to mend.

Kingdom Hearts II

  • First Entry

The form Sora's longtime friend Riku chose.

Though Xehanort tried to control Riku from within, Riku's heart proved stronger. But the only way to wield the darkness fully was to become it.

Riku began calling himself "Ansem," perhaps as a sign of resolve. He would live in darkness if that's what it took to wake Sora.

  • Second Entry

Sora's longtime friend. He had clad himself in darkness in order to wield it, and had even changed in appearance.

But when the real Ansem's Kingdom Hearts Encoder exploded, Riku returned to his old form.

You could say it was a miracle- worked by a heart no darkness could eclipse.

  • Ansem

Mysterious wielder of darkness.

What could his true purpose be?

Maleficent

King Mickey

The King of Disney Castle. He is an elusive character in the storyline, but is an important one....He IS the King (duh!). That being said, he TOO wields the KEYBLADE (my gosh, how many Keyblades are there! [The most powerful one belongs to Sora though]). His Keyblade is a golden version of the Kingdom Key, and, even though he is the king, he possesses the least powerful Keyblade. He can only be controlled in certain instances during certain battles when you get knocked out. Although awesome to play as Mickey, he is weak, but is fast, so its a different battle style than anything you will use....just don’t count on getting to play as him if you don't want to risk dying!

Xemnas

Roxas

He's the Nobody form of Sora. He is Organization XIII's number XIII. That being said, he wields the keyblade, just like Sora. He is also the first character in the game to use the dual keyblades. Amazingly, Roxas pulls this off without the use of drive forms, but you only get to use two keyblades as Roxas when you fight Axel...and that is one hell of a match!!! He is just as powerful as Sora (His level gets transferred to Sora), although he lacks the support of a party and the skills to heal and attack using magic.
