A common suggested order for beating the game is: Gutsman, Cutman, Elecman, Iceman, Fireman, Bombman. A common suggested order for beating the game is: Gutsman, Cutman, Elecman, Iceman, Fireman, Bombman. Gutsman is slow enough that he can easily be dispatched by the standard arm cannon, and if you don't get the Super Arm before going after Elecman, you'll have to beat Elecman twice (to get the Magnet Beam).

- Bomb Man (use Fire Storm -F)
- Guts Man (use Hyper Bomb -B)
- Cut Man (use Super Arm -G)
- Elec Man (use Rolling Cutter -C)
- Ice Man (use Thunder Beam -E)
Fortress
- Yellow Devil (use Thunder Beam -E)
- Copy Robot (use Fire Storm -F)
- CWU-01P (use Super Arm -G)
- Dr. Wily, Phase 1 (use Fire Storm -F)
- Dr. Wily, Phase 2 (use Rolling Cutter -C)
