once you've collected all 12 chozo artifacts, go to the artifact temple in the tallon overworld and META RIDLEY will invade. he has two forms, air and ground. in air form, he can breathe fire from his mouth, shoot bombs, go really far away(but can still target on him) and either shoot bombs or breathe fire. in ground form, he can shoot fire, slash you with his tail, and charge at you. the gem on his chest is his weak point, but the most effective weapon is the plasma beam when charged and directly hit. once killed, access to the impact crater is OPEN.
