Prologue
As the player starts the game, they will find a letter from the Ringtown Ranger Leader Spenser inviting them to Fall City to meet him so he can see their potential.
Once they meet up with him, they will hear a sound which is a scuffle between a Houndoom and a Minun/Plusle(depends on the player's gender). Spenser shows them how to use the Capture Styler to capture the Minun/Plusle. After that is done, he takes them to their Ranger Base in Ringtown to meet the other Rangers on the team and their adventure begins with missions to complete.
Rookie mission:Don't Fear Failure!
The player is given this mission right after meeting their Ranger team. They are tasked to find and capture Larry's Pokémon in Lyra Forest then bring it back to him.
Mission 1: Escort the Professor!
The player is given this mission after they get their partner Pokémon. They are tasked escort Professor Hastings back to Fall City safely. They have to go through Lyra Forest and Krokka Tunnel.
