==Lak==
==Lak==
Lak is a special feature of Rappelz; it acts a special drop from monsters that accumulate within a player's necklace. Lak, being rare, can be traded at a Lak Trader NPC (found in towns) for either Boost Chips or Rupees.  To most effectively use Lak, players need to determine the right amount of either so that they do not end up with too many or too few Boost Chips. If that happens, then they must either sell them (only if a low level player levels and is able to use a higher rank boost chip) or buy more. The problem though is that the conversion rate used in Lak trading is higher than the selling and buying rates at merchants; thus Rupees are lost in the process.

==Boost Chips==
==Scrolls==
Chips are items that players can use to significantly affect a battle by increasing the amount of damage the target takes for a limited amount of time. They come in two types, force chips and soul chips, with different ranks.  Ranks allow different levels of users to use chips while not overpowering them, by requiring high level creatures a higher resistance rate against lower ranked chips.  Also, higher rank chips provide the same bonus as rank one.  Force chips increase physical damage (melee and ranged for example) while soul chips increase the amount of magical damage. (Healing is considered using Magical Damage and thus soul chips would improve healings.) They can be obtained by using rupees (in-game currency) or exchange of laks from NPC's.

Rupees[edit]

The Rupee is the in game currency used worldwide; there are no varying amounts like in World of Warcraft (Copper, Silver, etc.) that help keep numbers to a minimum. High level players thus earn vast amounts of Rupees, and items often cost several million.
