Misaligned Text in a Paragraph

For some reason, when I tryed to type a paragraph in an article some of the text was disconnected. Here's an example: (look at the bottom of the page in this link)- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Enemies

Quickrow?

Hey all-

I am currently working on the FFTA guide, and I got done 2+ pages. Now I'm working on one major part of the guide, which is the shop at that moment in the game. I remember people using "quickrows" to make massive tables that have the same information in each table into 1 tables that each other table can call off of.

For example, here I want the item list down at the bottom to be dynamic, so that I only have to type in the information for the item once, and be done with it. Like I will have to put the same information for "Shortsword" on every page. If there is/was a quickrow function, I could type something in like {{Shortsword|qr}}, and the quickrow function would pop up instead of the normal massive template.

Anybody?

Nevermind. After some consideration about the formatting, the Quickrow option won't be necessary.

OOT Screenshots

I know this is the second time I've asked, but all I want to know is if there will be any new screenshots added to Ocarina of Time any time soon.

As far as I know, there a no current plans by any member. My recommendation to you would be to learn how to use Project 64 or the 1964 emulators. Once you know how to use them, taking screenshots will be easy. Procyon (Talk) 21:24, 18 June 2008 (CDT)

Staff lounge -> abxy forums?

Staff lounge is for asking for wiki help, which may require wiki markup, which can't be done on a forum. Also much easier to link to stuff here. -- Prod (Talk) 17:04, 21 June 2008 (CDT)
Makes sense. Quite a lot of the topics here (e.g. "Separating Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS") look more like forum/policy-type questions than wiki/markup-type questions, which was why I asked. I think what I must have been thinking was that Community Issues was for discussions raised by users (with staff also contributing), and Staff Lounge was for staff members (only) to talk to each other. Kind of like open-source software like MythTV which has a -users mailing list for support-type queries, and a -dev mailing list just for the developers to talk to each other. Obviously that was a mistake, but I wonder if other people don't realise that Staff Lounge is open to non-staff... --Pelago 17:05, 23 June 2008 (CDT)

Sidebars

Does anyone know why the sidebar I've tried to add at WarioWare:_Touched!/Ashley#Don.27t_Blow_It doesn't actually appear on the right-hand side of the screen? --Pelago 17:28, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

Thanks, I was missing the 'px' units. I see that the explanation at Template:Sidebar is correct, but I was following the explanation at StrategyWiki:Guide/Sidebars which says "width=width (pixels)", which looked to me like it meant to just put a number. Bold and apostrophes

I'm trying to render "Ashley's" without the apostrophe being bold. Any ideas? This is so that I can highlight the word Ashley as the first word in the first para on WarioWare: Touched!/Ashley. By the way, I realise that emboldening the article title in the first para is more of a Wikipedia thing and is not mentioned in the style guide here, but I think it happens to look good! --Pelago 17:28, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

You could try emboldening it using the HTML-style "b" element: Ashley's (<b>Ashley</b>'s). --DrBob (talk) 17:55, 22 June 2008 (CDT)
Another alternative is to wrap the apostrophe in nowiki tags ('''Ashley'''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> = Ashley's) which achieves the same effect but is uglier for editing. GarrettTalk 18:51, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

Wii error and template.

I have to things I need help on. Or three maybe, I'll start with the first. The first thing is that Resident Evil 0 is not part of the Wii games list at all and since I'm unable to delete it, I just wish someone will deal with that silly error. The second thing since the Wii wheel came out, I would ask if they can develop like an image template to it so that it will be easier to put in. The last thing is similar to the second thing but it has to do with the Wii zapper and the games that goes along with it. To tell the truth, I have no experience developing a new page of games that uses that style of control. Compare to wikipedia, this one is slightly harder to do. I don't know anyone who knows how to make great button template design so I'm hoping I'll get to chat to someone. If I miss the reply, put it on my talk page so I'll have less difficulty finding the staff lounge section again. Johnnyauau2000 22:16, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

I've removed the Wii data from Resident Evil Zero. The category remained even after being removed because {{sys}} automatically applies one; categories added by templates are not shown in the text edit area. As for the Wii Wheel, I've taken a stab at it... Neutral wheel Left wheel Right wheel ...hopefully these look something like it. :) I've only done these three, let me know if it uses other motions. As for the Zapper, instructions could be along the lines of "aim with the Remote button held like a TV remote (or held like a gun if in the Zapper), and push B button to shoot"; readers will have a sufficient understanding of how a gun and TV remote are aimed. A basic image of the Zapper might help here and there, but depicting the actual aiming might make things even more confusing. GarrettTalk 23:07, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

Thanks. I've now added to it. As for the zapper, I just presume that the readers are new so I have no idea what the logic is. Anyway, I suppose Garrett is now doing the images and I'm inexperienced on that. I suppose the images on N64 and Xbox is fine but I do have difficulty reading it to tell the truth. The colours are too close to each other and the N64 and GC control stick is too identical. No offence but can you read that part? I hope there is an update version of those images so please, I'm trying to keep my cool here, maybe replace the buttons or not and maybe lighten the GC control stick to make it easier to tell apart. The control sticks aren't really much of an issue, because a control stick is a control stick, they're the exact same on both platforms and there's no real need to tell them apart. As for the images, unfortunately most of our other systems don't even have images, so this will probably be a lower priority for most people. OK. Well if there's anymore Wii special accessories, I hope he's ready to create those templates. Good work on the Wii Wheel. The Wii Zapper should be easy. This might sound silly but everyone wants some fun. I believe if the motion controls are really good, it will be a good idea of seeing the Wii Remote "shaking" or Nunchuk with arrows, I call it endless possibilities. But to put it all in one image is really all you need so like moving the wii remote up or down or side to side should be simple. I'd appreciate it to give it more of an edge because it does help. Garrett should be given a medal for an endless possibilities of creating lots of images. It may take a lot of time but if you're calm, relax you'll get through it. Template requests

Some games (Team Fortress 2) are updated frenquently which often requires major rewrites of large amount of information. As such, I'd like to request 2 new templates:

Update pending
A template to mark that a game is about to receive a major update. Again, I really only want this for TF2 (got at least 7 major updates left to go), but I'm sure it can be applied to other games as well.

Updated frequently
This one is not really needed as much as the first one, but it'd be nice to have still. Would be used to mark games that are updated frequently, again, like TF2.

Oh, and an adaption of the counter strike map infobox template for TF2 would be nice too. It only needs Type and Developer fields.

Placing a non-framed image within the caption of a framed image

This is a tricky one. Each 'microgame' in the WarioWare: Touched! walkthrough has an image to the left with a caption. The caption is a copy of the brief onscreen text that appears in the game to give you a hint as to what to do. Some games ask you to blow into the microphone, and have a mouth icon as part of the text. I have attempted to add that mouth icon to the text as in WarioWare:_Touched!/9-Volt_&_18-Volt#Donkey_Kong_3 but unfortunately the mouth icon gains a frame, which I don't really want. The Image tag for the mouth doesn't contain a 'frame' parameter, but it seems to be inheriting the frame border from the parent image. Any ideas? Maybe we need an explicit 'noframe' option? --Pelago 17:05, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

Aliens versus Predator (PC)

Guitar Hero 3

This article has a great potential and could be worth it. Still I'm not good enough to even make a guitar template. It will be an interesting concept that would give it more value so a guitar template is worth it but it will cost time. So if there are anyone willing to help me with Guitar Hero 3 than I'm completely satisfied. Why? I'm always trying to find new things to do and find a spot where my skills are at its best. I know its editors paradise but there's nothing wrong about improving the article in a better way. So take your time and if you're ready to help than I will be thankful. Well, if you're not familiar with it, I suggest you to get the game with the guitar, try out the guitar and find someone to make an image template or if it's too much, a picture of an electronic wireless guitar with labels there so it will appeal to newcomers who wants to know what that symbol does. I'm a little excited about it so if you can, make an image template on the electronic guitar buttons of use a picture of the electronic wireless guitar with labels is good enough. The template wouldn't take long to make (just copy the code from one of the others) - the images are what take a long time to make. Right now I have a GameCube, a PS2, a PS without cables, a Dreamcast, an N64, a SNES, and a Sega Genesis. Sometimes words do a better job than images. Star power would be one of those cases. Since we like to limit the size of inline images to be 24 pixels tall so the text doesn't look weird, there simply wouldn't be enough space to show how to use star power in an image. Remember that you can use Star Power with the select button, however I think a large image of a guitar being tilted would be fitting for the getting started page. I'm driving 1300 miles across the country starting Monday, so I won't be able to help with this until next weekend. Undoing bad edits

A recent edit to Master_of_Orion_II by an Anon is nonsense - the proposed strategy involves waiting for a very late game tech, and a half-competent opponent won't let the game get that far; and there are other defects. On Wikipedia I'd undo the edit and explain why on the article's Talk page, but articles here don't have Talk pages. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest

I've been thinking for a long time now. I did a hell of a lot of editing at button templates in the last few months. Anyone should reconsider helping to make more of a reason why they need this guide. But if you don't feel like dealing with the issue, there's still an alternative that still works well for me which saves a lot of time and effort. Freshly-Picked_Tingle_Rosy_Rupeeland walkthrough for fairy garden and the last one

it says on the walkthrough to register/log in .... i have done this but i still can noy get the walk through for fairy garden and i think it is asoros the last one i got the walkthrough for the rest apart from the last two and we can not go any further so i thought if i registered /logged in i would get it but nothing can you help me please thanks devildoorman
