It is the same as the original Mortal Kombat 3 but for the introduction of nine new characters, five new stages (but two of the original ones have been removed), a 4-player "Two-on-Two Mode" and 8-player "Tournament Mode", a second Master, endurance rounds for both Masters, a Pit Fatal in Hell (with accompanying secrets), Classic Sub-Zero's Fatalities and the "Winner Fights Smoke" Kombat Kode now having an effect of the winning player fighting Human Smoke (instead of Cyborg Smoke) when it gets entered.
