Stage 29[edit]

Once your ships have rematerialized at the bottom of the screen (back in their normal forms again) and the stage's introductory theme starts to be heard from that Yamaha YM-2151, six Mini UFOs and twenty-four Type 1 Jammers will fly down into view from the top of the screen while circling round before taking their positions in the formation; there is a total of thirty Cosmo Gangers, and they will all then begin to attack your ships as the stage's main theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151. Once you have fired a single shot at all twenty-four Type 1 Jammers in that formation to kill them, and two shots at all six Mini UFOs in that formation to kill them, four "Tamagocchi" eggs will appear above your ships - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to break them open (if you leave these long enough, they will break open automatically), twelve more Type 1 Jammers will emerge from them, and fire four hails of bullets down at you before flying directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, a Bakuto, who is yielding an armour capsule, will fly into view from that left side of the screen; once you have fired a shot at him to destroy his ship, he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you have fired a second shot at him to kill him, he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version or I give up! in the US version as the armour capsule he was holding falls down onto the ship of the player who killed him. The text "NICE CLEAR!" will then appear on screen, as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 and the ships fly up off the top of the screen.

Stage 30[edit]

Once the background has faded back in, your ships have flown back up into view from the bottom of the screen and the stage's introductory theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, two wormholes will open up at the top of the screen (in the background), as six Type 2 and ten Type 1 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the top of the screen, then fly back down into view (in the foreground) from the top of the screen while firing a hail of bullets down at you before twelve of them take their places in the formation; the fourth, fifth, ninth and tenth Type 1 Jammers will, however, break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you fire a shot at each of them to kill them, two more wormholes will open up (on the left side of the screen) in the background as eight more Type 2 and eight more Type 1 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing another hail of bullets down at you before eight of them take their places in the formation - but the eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth Type 2 and those fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth Type 1 Jammers will, again, break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more wormholes will open up on the right side of the screen in the background as eight more Type 2 Jammers and eight more Type 1 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the right side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the right side of the screen while circling around and firing a third hail of bullets down at you before eight of them take up their position in the formation; the nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first and twenty-second Type 2 and the twenty-third, twenty-fourth, twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth Type 1 Jammers will, once again, break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at all of them to kill them, four Armoured Cosmos and a Bakuto (the latter of whom will be yielding an armour capsule, if the player who had won the initial one on the previous stage died, and the other player failed to catch it), will appear at the top of the screen and take their places at the top of the formation - and all the remaining Cosmo Gangers in the formation (there was a total of fifty-two to begin with, if you count twelve of the Type 1 Jammers and eight of the Type 2 Jammers, who all decided to break away from it) will begin to attack your ships, as the stage's main theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (you will also have to watch out for Containers appearing above them, at this point). Once you have fired a shot at the Bakuto to destroy his ship, he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you fire another shot at him to kill him, he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version or I give up! in the US version as the armour capsule he was holding if the player who'd won the initial one on the previous stage died and the other player failed to catch it falls down onto the ship of the player who killed him; once you have fired five shots at each of those Armoured Cosmos to destroy their spacesuits (when they fire lasers down at your ships, they will speak out Rēzā! (レーザー!) in the Japanese version or Here we go! in the US version), they will speak out Gomenne, gomenne! (ごめんね、 ごめんね!) in the Japanese version or I'm so sorry! in the US version as they run off the side of the screen they are furthest from, giving you the opportunity to shoot (and kill) them. Once you've fired a single shot at all the remaining Jammers in this formation to kill them, two more wormholes will open up in the background as eight more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them, and fly off the left and right sides of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground on the left and right sides of the screen while circling around and firing a fourth hail of bullets down at you before taking their places in the second formation - and two more wormholes will then open up on the left side of the screen in the background as ten more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground on the left side of the screen while circling round and firing a fifth hail of bullets down at you before taking their place in the second formation. Two more wormholes will now open up on the right side of the screen in the background as ten more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing a sixth hail of bullets at you before taking their position in the second formation - and two more wormholes will then open at the top of the screen in the background as ten Garapon emerge from it and circle around while firing a seventh hail of bullets at you before taking their position in the second formation. Two more wormholes will now open up on the left side of the screen in the background as four more Garapon emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing their eighth hail of bullets at you, before flying directly towards you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more wormholes will open up at the top of the screen as ten more Garapon emerge from them then fly off the top of the screen, then fly back down into view in the foreground at the top of the screen while circling around and firing a ninth hail of bullets at you before taking their place in the second formation. Two more wormholes will then open up on the right side of the screen in the background, as ten more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the right side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground on the right side of the screen while circling around and firing a tenth hail of bullets at you before taking their places in the second formation - and two more wormholes will open up on the left side of the screen in the background, as ten more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing an eleventh hail of bullets down at you, before taking their place in the second formation. Two more wormholes will then open up on the left side of the screen in the background as four more Garapon emerge from them and fly off the left side of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing a twelfth hail of bullets at you before flying directly towards you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more wormholes will open up upon the left and right sides of the screen in the background as ten more Type 2 Jammers emerge from them and fly off the left and right sides of the screen, then fly back into view in the foreground from those left and right sides of the screen while circling around and firing a twelfth hail of bullets at you before taking their places in the second formation. Two more wormholes will then open up at the top of the screen as ten more Garapon emerge from them and fly off the top of the screen, then fly back down into view (in the foreground) at the top of the screen while circling around and firing a thirteenth hail of bullets down at you before taking their places in the second formation - and another Bakuto (who will be yielding an armour capsule, if either player had won one on the previous or the first part of this stage, but died and the other player failed to catch it), will then appear up at the top of the screen, to take his place at the top of the formation. All remaining Cosmo Gangers in the second formation (there was a total of eighty-nine to begin with, if you count eight of the Garapon, who had all decided to break away from it) will then begin to attack your ships; once you have fired a shot at the second Bakuto to destroy his ship he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you've fired another shot at him to kill him, he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version, or I give up! in the US version (as that armour capsule he was holding if either player had won one on the previous or the first part of this stage but died and the other player failed to catch it falls down onto the ship of that player who killed him). Once you've fired a single shot at all the remaining Type 2 Jammers and Garapon in the formation to kill them the text "NICE CLEAR!" will appear on the screen as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 and your ships fly up off the top of the screen - and the background will then fade out for a thirty-fourth time as the game proceeds onto the 31st stage.

Stage 31[edit]

Once the background has faded back in, your ships have flown back up into view from the bottom of the screen and the stage's introductory theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, fourteen Type 1 Jammers will come fly down into view from the top of the screen while circling around and firing a hail of bullets down at you before eight of them take their places in the formation; the ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth ones will, however, break away from the formation, and fly directly towards you. Once you've fired a shot at all of them to kill them, fourteen more Type 1 Jammers will fly down into view from the top of the screen, while circling around and firing another hail of bullets at you before eight of them take their places in the formation - but the twenty-third, twenty-fourth, twenty-fifth, twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth ones will again break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, eighteen Garapon will come flying into view from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing a third hail of bullets at you before twelve of them take up their position in the formation; the thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth ones will, once again, break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, eighteen more Garapon will fly into view from the right side of the screen, while circling around and firing a fourth hail of bullets down at you before twelve of them take up their positions in the formation - but the thirty-first, thirty-second, thirty-third, thirty-fourth, thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth ones will, yet again, break away from the formation, and fly directly towards you. Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, six Mini UFOs will fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen, while circling around and firing a fifth hail of bullets at you before taking up their place in the formation; two Dodongadon and an Armoured Cosmo will then appear up at the top of the screen and take their places at the top of the formation. All remaining Cosmo Gangers in the formation (there was a total of seventy-three to begin with if you count twelve of the Type 1 Jammers and twelve of the Garapon, who all decided to break away from it) will begin to attack your ships as the stage's main theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 - and once you've fired five shots at both of the Dodongadon to kill them (that fourth one will turn them red), they will leave their heso behind, and give you the opportunity to shoot them before they burst. Once you fire shots at the Armoured Cosmo to destroy his spacesuit (when he fires a laser down at your ships, he will speak out Rēzā! (レーザー!) in the Japanese version, or just Here we go! in the US version), he will speak out Gomenne, gomenne! (ごめんね、 ごめんね!) in the Japanese version or I'm so sorry! in the US version while running off the side of the screen he is furthest from, again giving you the opportunity to shoot (and kill) him; once you've fired a single shot at all those remaining Type 1 Jammers and Garapon in the formation to kill them, three wormholes will open in the centre of the screen, as eighteen more Garapon emerge from them and take their places in the second formation. A Doragon will then come flying into view from that left side of the screen, with a Bakuto (who will be yielding an armour capsule, if either player had won one on the two previous stages, but died and the other player failed to catch it) sitting on his head in his ship - and once you have fired off a shot at each of the four sections of his body to destroy them, you will have to fire a shot at his head to kill him, before he flies away off that right side of the screen (you can also do this to kill him instantly). Once you fire a shot at that Bakuto to destroy his ship, he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version, or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you have fired another shot at him to kill him he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version or I give up! in the US version (as the armour capsule he was yielding if either player had won one on the two previous stages, but died and the other player failed to catch it, falls onto the ship of that player who killed him); a fourth wormhole will then open in the centre of the screen, as six more Garapon emerge from it and fire a sixth hail of bullets down at you, before taking their places in the second formation. Six more Type 1 Jammers will then come flying down into view from the top of the screen while circling around and firing a seventh hail of bullets at you before three of them take their places in the second formation - but the thirty-second, thirty-third and thirty-fourth ones will, for a fifth time, break away from the formation, and fly directly towards you. Once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, thirty-two more Type 1 Jammers will fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen, while circling around and firing this eighth hail of bullets down at you, before twenty-six of them take their positions in the second formation; the sixty-first, sixty-second, sixty-third, sixty-fourth, sixty-fifth, and sixty-sixth ones will, for a sixth time, break away from the formation, and fly directly towards you. Once you fire a shot at each of them to kill them, sixteen more Type 1 Jammers will come flying into view from the left side of the screen, while circling round and firing a ninth hail of bullets at you, before ten of them take up their places in the second formation - but the seventy-seventh, seventy-eighth, seventy-ninth, eightieth, eighty-first, and eighty-second ones will, for a seventh time, break away from the formation, and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, sixteen more Type 1 Jammers will come flying into view from the right side of the screen while circling around and firing a tenth hail of bullets down at you, before ten of them take their places in the second formation; the ninety-third, ninety-fourth, ninety-fifth, ninety-sixth, ninety-seventh, and ninety-eighth ones will for an eighth time break away from the formation and fly directly towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, eight more Mini UFOs will fly into view on the left and right sides of the screen while circling around and firing an eleventh hail of bullets at you before taking their places in this second formation - and two more Dodongadon and another Armoured Cosmo will then appear at the top of the screen, and take their places at the top of the formation as three more wormholes open up in the centre of the screen and eighteen more Garapon emerge from them while circling around and firing a twelfth hail of bullets at you before taking their places in the second formation. An eighth wormhole will then open up in the centre of the screen as six more Garapon emerge from it and fire a thirteenth hail of bullets at you before taking up their position in the second formation; a second Bakuto (who will be yielding an armour capsule if either player had won one on the two previous stages or the first part of this stage but died and the other player failed to catch it) will now come flying into view from the left side of the screen. Once you fire one shot at him to destroy his ship, he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version, or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you have fired another shot at him to kill him, he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version or I give up! in the US version (as that armour capsule he was yielding if either player had won one on either of the two previous stages or the first part of this stage but died and the other player failed to catch it falls down onto the ship of the player who killed him) - and twelve more Type 1 Jammers will then fly down into view at the top of the screen while circling round and firing a fourteenth hail of bullets at you, before six of them take up their place in the second formation. The 102nd, 103rd, 104th, 108th, 109th and 110th ones will for a ninth time break away from the formation and fly directly towards you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, thirty-two more Type 1 Jammers will then come flying into view from the left and right sides of the screen, while circling around and firing a fifteenth hail of bullets down at you before twenty-six of them take their places in the second formation. The 137th, 138th, 139th, 140th, 141st, and 142nd ones will for the tenth time break away from the formation and fly directly towards you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them sixteen more Type 1 Jammers will come flying into view from the left side of the screen while circling around and firing this sixteenth hail of bullets at you before ten of them take up their positions in the second formation. The 153rd, 154th, 155th, 156th, 157th, and 158th ones will, for an eleventh time, break away from the formation, then fly directly towards you; once you have fired off a shot at all of these to kill them, sixteen more Type 1 Jammers will come flying into view (from the right side of the screen) while circling around and firing a seventeenth hail of bullets down at you before ten of them take their places in the formation. The 169th, 170th, 171st, 172nd, 173rd, and 174th ones will for a twelfth time break away from the formation and fly directly towards you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, eight more Mini UFOs will come flying into view (from the left and right sides of the screen) while circling around and firing an eighteenth hail of bullets down at you before taking their places in the second formation. All the remaining Cosmo Gangers in the second formation (there was a total of 214 to begin with, if you count forty-five of the Type 1 Jammers, who all decided to break away from it), will then begin to attack your ships; once you fire five shots at both of the Dodongadon to kill them (again, the fourth one turns them red), they will leave their heso behind, and again give you the chance to shoot them before they burst. Once you've fired five shots at the Armoured Cosmo to destroy his spacesuit (when he fires a laser down at your ships, he will speak out Rēzā! (レーザー!) in that Japanese version or Here we go! in that US version), he will speak out Gomenne, gomenne! (ごめんね、 ごめんね!) in the Japanese version or I'm so sorry! in the US version (while he is running off the side of the screen he is furthest from), and once again giving you the chance to shoot (and kill) him - and once you've fired a single shot at all the remaining Type 1 Jammers and Garapon in the second formation to kill them and two shots at all those remaining Mini UFOs in the second formation to kill them the text "NICE CLEAR!" will appear on screen as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and those ships fly up off the top of the screen. The game will then proceed to the thirty-second stage.

Stage 32[edit]

Once the background has faded back in, your ships have flown back up into view from the bottom of the screen and the stage's introductory theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, two wormholes will open on the left and right sides of the screen (in the background) as four Armoured Cosmos, five Dodongadon and twenty-four Type 2 Jammers emerge from them then fly off the left and right sides of the screen, before flying back into view in the foreground from the left and right sides of the screen and taking their places in the formation; there is a total of thirty-three Cosmo Gangers, and they will all then begin to attack your ships as the stage's main theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (and you will also again have to watch out for Containers appearing above you at this point). Once you fire five shots at all of the Armoured Cosmos, to destroy their spacesuits (when they fire a laser down at your ships, they will speak out Rēzā! (レーザー!) in the Japanese version, but just Here we go! in the US version), they will speak out Gomenne, gomenne! (ごめんね、 ごめんね!) in that Japanese version or I'm so sorry! in that US version as they run off the side of the screen they are furthest from, yet again giving you that opportunity to shoot (and kill) them - and once you have fired five shots at each of the Dodongadon to kill them (once again, the fourth one will turn them red), they will leave their heso behind, and once again give you the opportunity to shoot them before they burst. Once you have fired out a single shot at all twenty-four Type 2 Jammers in the formation to kill them, six more wormholes will open up in the centre of the screen, as six Garapon emerge from them and fire six bullets down at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them before they fly off the bottom of the screen, a Doragon will come flying into view from the left side of the screen with a Bakuto (who will be yielding an armour capsule if either player had won one on the three previous stages but died and the other player failed to catch it) sitting on his head in his ship. Once you fire one shot at each of the four sections of his body to destroy them, you will have to fire a shot at his head to kill him before he flies away off the right side of the screen (but again, you can also do this to kill him instantly); once you have fired a shot at that Bakuto to destroy his ship, he will speak out Acho! (アチョッ!) in the Japanese version or Oh, no! in the US version, and once you have fired another shot at him to kill him, he will speak out Maitta! (まいった!) in the Japanese version or I give up! in the US version (as the armour capsule he was yielding if either player had won one on those three previous stages but died and the other player failed to catch it falls down onto the ship of the player who killed him). The text "NICE CLEAR!" will then appear on the screen as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and your ships fly up off the top of the screen - and the game will then proceed to the thirty-third, final stage.

Stage 33[edit]

Once the background has faded back in (and your ships have flown back up into view from the bottom of the screen), Don Cosmo will materialize on the throne in the background, then rise into the air, and fly into the foreground as thunder crashes (Splatterhouse fans may also notice that he is wearing an inverted cross around his neck); he shall then say to you: Wōhohhohhohō! Yoku zo koko made kita na, me ni mono wo misete kureruwa. (ウォーホッホッホッホー! よくぞここまで来たな、 目にものを見せてくれるわ.) in the Japanese version. The stage's theme will then begin to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 (as his green life bar appears at the top of the screen) and he starts causing the ground (and ships) to shake as rocks fall down from the top of the screen - and once you've fired enough shots at him to drain the life bar, any rocks currently on screen will disappear, and he will speak out Kō shakunā, watashi no shin no chikara wo omoishire! (こーしゃくなー、私の真の力を思い知れっ!) in that Japanese version. His second (blue) life bar will then appear at the top of the screen as turning flames come down from the top of the screen to make a complete revolution (clockwise for red, and anticlockwise for blue, and you will also have to deal with four Dodongadon at this point), once they have reached your ships' level; once you have fired enough shots at him to drain his second life bar, any turning flames currently on screen will disappear and he will speak out Kono, kowappame! Mō yurusan! (この、こわっぱめ! もう許さん!) in the Japanese version. His third (yellow) life bar will now appear at the top of the screen as thunderbolts fall from the top of it - and you will also have to deal with eight Type 1 Jammers at this point. Once you have fired enough shots at him (to drain his third life bar) he will speak out Saigo no kōgeki wo...O mimai shite yaru wai! (最後の攻撃を...お見舞いしてやるわいっ!) in that Japanese version; his fourth (red, & final) life bar will then appear at the top of the screen as he starts firing stars at you (which can be repelled with a single shot). Once you've fired enough shots at him to drain his fourth (final) life bar the song that you were hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will suddenly stop as he explodes and speaks out Dōwāāāa! (どーわああああああ!) in both versions - and both players will then receive a "Used Ship Bonus" (the maximum of which is 10000000, but will get decreased by 1000000 at every death; if either player died more than 10 times they will not receive it). The text "NICE CLEAR!" will then appear on the screen as the "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and the ships fly up off the top of the screen - and you can now sit back and enjoy the ending, which shows Don Cosmo's space station, which resembles the Death Star (and formed the background for Stage 30) exploding into twenty-five pieces:

The screen will then cut to a shot of two Type 1 Jammers (working at a construction site) as the three-script text Sonogo, Kozumo-tachi ha... (その後、コズモたちは...) is displayed below it in the Japanese version (the shot still appears in the US version, but the aforementioned three-script text is removed):

After the credits have finished, the game will go into high-score mode as the game's high-score theme starts to be heard out from the Yamaha YM-2151; your scores will most likely be the highest on the cabinet to date, so you should enter your initials at the top of the table with pride (in a two-player game, both players get to enter their initials together, unlike in Toy Pop, with its team names). Once you have done so, the game will go back into attract mode, but the Cosmo Gang will return for Cosmo Gang: The Puzzle in 1992 (it also formed the basis for direct-to-console Pac-Man sequel Pac-Attack in 1993).
