Enter these codes on either the title screen (in the case of the first one) or the first stage (in the case of the second one) of the Sega Genesis version of the game; a tone will be heard from that Yamaha YM-2612 when either of them is entered correctly. Also, if you finish the game in "ADVANCED" mode, "EXPERT" mode will become available on the options menu - and this will be the equivalent of the "RANK" option being set to "D" in the arcade version.
