Classes[edit]

Remember that any spellcaster can automatically learn new spells every time he or she gains a new experience level (different from spell level).

Basic classes[edit]

Priest[edit]

100% sure spell
Heal (healing)
20% chance spells
Restore sight (healing)
Light (field)
Pray (support)
Peace (disable)
Crossfire (attack)

The most important attribute for a priest is wisdom. The most fitting race is human.

A priest starts with 2 spell points for spell level 1 and usually 3 spells, but occasionally 2 or 4 (independent from other attributes, race, or sex). All priests start with "Heal", the other spell(s) are picked at random with a fixed chance.

A priest must have a minimal wisdom of 14, but also a min. strength of 7 and a min. intelligence of 6.

Sorcerer[edit]

100% sure spell
Absentmindedness (disabling)
20% chance spells
Identify an item (field)
Light (field)
Unlock (field)
Ignite (attack)
Fireball (attack)

The most important attribute for a sorcerer is intelligence. The most fitting race is elf.

A sorcerer starts with 2 spell points for spell level 1, and either 2 or 3 spells at random (independent from other attributes, race, or sex). All sorcerers start with "Absentmidedness", the other spell(s) are picked at random with an equal 20% chance. Check the sorcerer spellbook after character creation: field spells are more useful than direct attack spells, because fighter-type classes are anyway more effective in battle.

Fighter[edit]

The most important attribute for a fighter is strength. The most fitting race is dwarf.

Thief[edit]

The most important attribute for a thief is agility. The most fitting race is gnome.

Dual classes[edit]

Friar[edit]

A mix between a thief and a priest. A friar learns priest spells at high level, as well as three unique skills (different from a thief).

Champion[edit]

A mix between a fighter and a sorcerer. A champion learns sorcerer spells at high level.

Horseman[edit]

A mix between a fighter and a priest. A horseman learns priest spells at high level.

A knight in a medieval setting is a "noble horseman" (otherwise stated, a "horse-mounted nobleman").

Barbarian[edit]

A mix between a fighter and a thief. A barbarian learns a unique skill at high level, as well as some thief skill, but no spells.

Character class triangle[edit]

The eight classes can be summarized in the following diagram.

TOP: characters without magic skills;
BOTTOM: characters with great magic skills;
LEFT: characters with healing magic (priest spells);
RIGHT: characters with combat magic (sorcerer spells).
