Desert planets are an extremely rare type of planet that provide large amounts of resources and benefits. Advent players benefit in particular on Desert planets, as they are the only locations that allow them to build their strongest research structures. They even have a chance to uncover rare quarnium deposits, which are otherwise only available on gas giants.
Although similar, the Desert planets that the Advent starts on are treated differently from the Terran planets found elsewhere. This article refers to non-homeworld Terran planets.
