*Rocky, you bring up an excellent point. I actually don't know anything about the specific additions to the GBA version. It seems to me that the GBA specific information should be moved to the GBA version page. The way we used to have parent game relationships, but now I think we just use ToC transclusion. This issue should be resolved before the guide is promoted. | *Rocky, you bring up an excellent point. I actually don't know anything about the specific additions to the GBA version. ***There hasn't been much discussion of this point, and so far the only person that I've spoken to who objects to those sections being moved is Prod. Quite frankly, he has a good point, using my own prior work against me (grrr…). He points out that I put Pokémon Yellow information in the Pokémon Red and Blue walkthrough. While that is a valid point, I counter with the fact that there is no Yellow information outside of the walkthrough (in what would be considered the appendix if Pok.R&B had an appendix). In fact, features new to Pokémon Yellow that don't quite fit in the walkthrough can be found on their own page exclusive to the Yellow guide. Therefore, it would not be against precedence to move the appendix information out of the SNES guide and into the GBA guide. I'd like to get some kind of consensus on how everyone else feels. ****I've decided that I'm completely undecided about transclusion versus inclusion >.<. I'm trying to decide on a proper scheme for this right now. I'm currently at: If there is a completely new section to the game, that gets it's page within it's separate guide, and you transclude the original toc with the new pages added on (the "what's new" page in Pokemon Yellow). If there are minor additions (like an extra item in a specific location) that belongs with the main guide (like the fact that you can only start with pikachu). I would say this is featured as an SNES game, but not as a GBA game. The problem is, this messes with our one game one guide policy (now we're at 4 games (RGBY), one guide >_>) -- Prod (Talk) 15:54, 12 August 2007 (CDT) | ****I've decided that I'm completely undecided about transclusion versus inclusion >.<. ******I would have to argue that whatever our decision should be, it should not confuse the reader. If the reader has a copy of LttP for the GBA, they're going to look for our LttP guide, possibly without knowing there are multiple versions of the game (if they are a younger gamer, for instance). I suggest for simplicity's sake that we stick to inclusion (prevents redundancy and is better for SEO--search engines penalize duplicate content!) and outline any differences with special sidebars or pages as they are necessary. My two cents. <span style="border: 1px solid #888; padding: 1px">echelontalk</span> 20:11, 12 August 2007 (CDT) | ******I would have to argue that whatever our decision should be, it should not confuse the reader. *To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this guide. On one hand, it's complete in every way it can be. I suppose I'm more worried about upkeep, as the game is changing a fair bit at the moment. At the same time, however, I'm super glad that I've been able to hit the top spot on Google with this guide, and reception overall seems to be pretty positive. I'm nominating the guide, but on the other hand I don't want to break my "Featured Guide" streak by having it be added to Unsuccessful requests haha...Arrow (talk) 16:53, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
*Yeah, I just looked at the guide. It actually looks good. I'm not a fan of this series, but even I know it should be made a stage 5. - That <span style="color:red;font-variant:small-caps;">Funky </span> <span style="color:#A50000;font-variant:small-caps;"> Demon Pikachu</span> 18:25, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
* The Walkthrough is just one page covering the tutorial, with the rest of the subpages under the Gameplay heading. Not sure if that's good or bad. It's a procedurally generated game so I'm not sure what you'd put under the Walkthrough heading.--Henke37 (talk) 17:29, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
**I think the Walkthrough page in general is pretty moot for games that have a running campaign and such. Arcade games like Zaxxon or Ms. Pac-Man only need a single Walkthrough page. On the other hand, more modern games - especially those with a story-driven campaign consisting of multiple missions - can afford to have subpages for each mission level, mostly negating the point of the base Walkthrough page. So I think you could easily get rid of the default walkthrough page for a number of modern games as a result. --Arrow (talk) 17:52, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

Pocket Fighter is one of the last fighting games that I planned on working on, and in all honesty, I think that it came out the best. I had planned on nominating the Street Fighter II guide first (once I got all the moves pictured), but I put so much into this guide, I can't think of another thing to cram into it. I can't think of a reference of cameo that I didn't mention. For the record, this guide contains:
So... while it could be expanded upon (like, by adding images of how each of the moves improve by levels, or all of the color selections... which I might add some day), I think it's pretty comprehensive state. Procyon (Talk) 22:10, 12 December 2007 (CST)

Ceegers has filled in all of the advanced strategies and challenge info. I verified 80-90% of the guide. I think it is ready. --Notmyhandle (talk • contribs) 21:23, 24 November 2012 (UTC) Took me a while to get around to everything I wanted to with this, but I finally got there. The advanced techniques page also helps to clarify some tougher things, like how to go about completing chambers with few enough steps for the gold challenges. Let me know if you have any suggestions on anything! -- Ceegers (talk) 21:35, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
The guide was completed years ago, but Ceegers (talk · contribs) has put the finishing touches on it. I think this one only needs a spit shine to make it into our elite. --Notmyhandle (talk • contribs) 21:23, 24 November 2012 (UTC) Thanks :) The advanced and challenges sections (Chambers 13-18) still need adjusting, which I will be getting to soon. I'm also thinking that an additional appendix page Advanced Techniques would be a good idea. In a game like this, it is absolutely impossible to describe every way to complete a puzzle, and the developers intended it as such, but advanced techniques could be an excellent place to describe methods that may help in various chambers. This could also include some general hints for how to decrease portals, steps, and time in the challenges. I'm also good friends with one of the glitch masters of this game, so I can get a ton of info on them, which could be included, but I am somewhat inclined to not include glitches (however... at what point something becomes a glitch as opposed to being part of the game is debatable in this case). One last thought... looks like the guide's supposed to have no red links... which I guess means something would have to be created for Narbacular Drop and Portal (Commodore 64)? Seems like a weird requirement, since those really have nothing to do with this game... -- Ceegers (talk) 10:37, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
