Delphino Airstrip
Watch a scene, and after that go to the corner of the airstrip without touching the goop and get FLUDD and watch yet another scene. Once  the scene is over, go over to the goop and spray the center for a short time until a Goo Monster comes out. To defeat it spray its mouth three times and out comes a Shine Sprite. SHINE! Save the Pianta in the goop if you want. Now watch another scene. You will now be in Delfino Plaza.

Super Mario Sunshine is very similar to its predecessor, Super Mario 64, in that the gameplay is open world, with linear story milestones. This walkthrough is split up to lead you through the linear milestones, but also provide all of the details necessary for clearing the open world areas.
Delphino Plaza
After the scene, go down to the Main Square. Defeat the Goo Monster like the one in the airstrip, but be careful because this one makes Goopys. Once it is defeated watch a scene(with all these scenes, you should bring popcorn). Now chase Shadow Mario while spraying him(the music will get louder or softer depending on how close you are). After you defeat him talk to Peach and follow her orders. Shadow Mario will escape into the grafiti. spray it until light comes out of it. Now, jump in. Now you are in Bianco Hills

The setting
Bianco Hills
The Isle Delfino has several regions to explore. There is a central area, Delfino Plaza, and several "adventure" or "episode" areas which branch off from it. Each region is isolated from the rest, accessible only through specific portals, tunnels, etc. These areas are where the more traditional gameplay takes place. The game's goal is to reach the final linear milestone, but to do so you have to collect a required amount of Shine Sprites as you go along. The walkthrough shows how to gather every Shine Sprite, but you do not need to collect every single one in the game to complete the game.

The hillside Cave secret

The beginning
So, from the start, go to the farthest right you can on this stage, then work your way across the hills to the cave that was shown on the introducing clip. Then, once you get there, you will watch another clip of Shadow Mario taking away FLUDD. Then, work your way across the obstacle course. Other than the blocks twirling around to knock Mario to his death, this is a pretty easy course. Grab the Shine. Say SHINE!
The story begins with an introduction video of Mario, Princess Peach, Toadsworth, and some other toads making their way to the sunny beaches of Isle Delfino for vacation. As they arrive, they find the island in crisis. It has been covered with graffiti by a mysterious mustached miscreant and as a result the island's energy source, the Shine Sprites, have been scattered all around. It's now down to Mario to help the islanders return to their normal lives

After the intro movie, Mario and the crew have assemble outside of the plane at Delfino Airstrip, but something's not right...

The Secret of the Dirty Lake

Once you get to your starting point, you find that the entire lake is polluted. Get your way to the hole at the left side of the lake by going up the big windmill to where it's facing the hole. then use the hover nozzle and go as far as you can. Land on one of those logs and go inside of the hole.

When you get to this obstacle course, you have to jump from rotating platforms, ride turning blocks, and avoid pink arrows shooting at you. This is a pretty hard course, so be prepared to lose a few lives anyway. When you are through, grab the shine. SHINE!

Dune Bud Sand Castle Secret

When you get at this glorious beach, you find there are many cataquacks(the duck-shaped things)walking around. They won't hurt you for a while, but it is very unpleasant to be thrown in the air, so avoid these. Get near the Dune Bud that was on the introducing clip
and spray it until it explodes and a huge sand castle pops out. Go in the open area of the castle.

The area you go next is a huge sand road that if you step on it starts to break apart. Resist these by running fast over them. Run all the way to the sand towers and ascend toward the shine, or if you prefer, the 1-up mushroom if you are worried of dying. This is one of the easiest courses in the game, so don't worry. Grab the shine.

Wiggler Ahoy! Steamship Ahead!

Remember that huge catepillar you injured in the last episode on the Sand Egg? Well, he's really angry, and stomping all around Gelato Beach. So, remember those Dune Buds? When Wiggler comes near one, spray it until it explodes, and Wiggler will tip over. Ground Pound the section of his body in which the arrow is pointing on. Then, repeat that 3 times, but each time Wiggler gets madder and madder, so he is harder to get to trip. After that, grab the shine he gave you! SHINE!

The Sand Bird appears

So, remember the egg that was going to hatch? Now, it hatched, and there is a huge crack on the Glow tower. Go to the top hill where the arch concrete is, and slide down the dirt road, and at the last moment, jump onto that sheet thing and get into the crack. You will be teleported onto the Sand Bird!

Now, there are 7 red coins on the Sand Bird, 2 on the head and tail, 2 on the wings, and 3 on the main body. Get these without tumbling to your death. Then, stay on the Sand Bird for a while. Sometimes the Sand Bird will fly vertically, so you need to be careful.
After a while, one of the Sand Birds wings are pointing to a tower where the final and 8th red coin is. Grab it to earn a shine. SHINE!

Mecha Bowser Appears!

When you arrive at the gates of Pinna Park, follow Shadow Mario to the huge pool. Then the pool will open up and out comes Mecha Bowser! After the video, Mario will talk to the head noki of the park to earn a roller coaster, with water rockets on the rails. Then Mecha Bowser will start shooting bullet bills at you. They can be destroyed by a spray or a water rocket. Note that FLUDD cannot spray while holding a water rocket in its nozzle, so use the rockets every once in a while. The key to victory is to shoot the water rockets at Mecha Bowser's chest. Spray the falmes from Mecha Bowser's mouth to put them out. Hit him 3 or 4 times to win. Then, Shadow Mario reveals himself as Baby Bowser!

He talks about Peach being his mother and reveals his plan to Mario. He also states that the magic paintbrush he uses to "make his wishes come true" was made by a strange old man with a white coat, which is Professor E. Gadd, the inventor in Luigi's Mansion who also invented FLUDD.  After the long video, he tells Mario to stay away and flees to Corona Mountain, leaving a shine. Grab the shine.
