This planet is extremely hot and therefore rather dangerous to your health. First, ''stand'' and ''wear underwear'' (a noble idea). [10] After that, ''exit the ship''. Walk south, and then West. Here, we have some unstable rocks, but walking on them directly does little more than give you a funny animation. Walk on screen to the south. Next scene contains two men gazing longfully into a distance. Wait for a while, and they will run off. Once they are gone, approach the spyglass on the left, and look in the telescope. [10] Congratulations, you've just found that shield generator that the decoded message was talking about. Go on to the green box next to the pole (blue stick with a little fan on top) and ''take detonator''. [10] Go ahead and ''take pole'' as well. [10] Walk two screens to the right, and go up two more screens. Go left and down the stairs to proceed into the background, and walk to the right. ''Climb the ladder'' on that screen. Whenever you're on top, step close to the edge (carefully) and ''throw detonator''. [20]

Here comes one moment no Space Quest can live without... The "...now you've done it!" moment. Approach the ladder, and ''climb down''. We're now returning to the ship (in the similar vein as before, the path is linear enough to avoid repetitive writing). However, north of the scene with the telescope, the bridge is out. Without even approaching the edge, simply ''use pole to jump'' and you will find yourself on the other side. [20] Go right and up to make it to your ship. Once inside, ''sit'' and take off (similar manner as before). Scan your map for Pestulon (you have to scan all the way around, since it is before Ortega) and prepare for the final showdown.
