In the captain's office, you'll get your next case, concerning the location of a car that was reported stolen.

Stolen Vehicle Call

As you pull up, you'll see the car leaving a house and it doesn't stop for you. You'll need to take out the car to get your hands on the driver of the stolen vehicle. The driver, Cliff Harrison, says he bought the car fair and square, and he does have some legitimate looking paperwork. Still, the car was reported stolen, so you'll need to ask him some questions.

He seems to be sincere, but you'll need to take him downtown until you can figure out what's going on.

Coombs Automotive Co.

When you walk onto the dealership lot, you'll meet Mr. Coombs, the owner. He remembers Harrison and will show you the bill of sale in his office. The paperwork all seems to be in order, so speak with Coombs and see if you can find anything else out.

You've gotten some good leads, so head out and see where they take you. Before you go, use the gamewell nearby to call in an APB on Jean Archer, the original owner of the car, according the paperwork. You'll also find that you have a possible suspect in custody at the station.

146 North Fremont Avenue

All you need to do is show up and see that it's a fake address to get the clue.

Central Police Station

The suspect, James Belasco, is waiting for you in interrogation 2, so head right in and get started.

After the interview, you'll meet Ray Pinker from technical services. He'll tell you that the Marquee Printing company is the only business in town that has the government contract to print those pink slips. He's already talked with one Gordon Leitvol at the company and will give you the name and address. Before you can leave, you'll also get a hit on the APB you put out on Jean Archer. She's at a Western Union office just down the street. You can make it down there before she leaves if you hurry, and the location is already marked on your map.

While your partner goes out to call for a car to pick up the suspect, ask her a few questions.

You have the address of the car ring's main headquarters, but first you should go check out the lead Pinker gave you.

Inside at the front desk you'll meet Gordon Leitvol, who confirms his company is the only one with the contract to print the pink slips. Ask him some questions to see what else he knows.

When you get to see the ledger, since you already know the bad guy's name and the address of the car ring, go ahead and tap on the line with the name "S. Bigelow" and the address "58 Industrial St". That's pretty much all you needed to know, so it's time to take down the car ring.

58 Industrial Street

Since you know the place is full of "goons" from Jean Archer, you're not taking any chances. Once your partner gets around back, you'll announce yourself and a gunfight will ensue. Take out the first guy, then make your way inside and find some cover. Make the guy with the machine gun your priority, and pick it up when you move forward. When you get upstairs, waste the last two guys, then enter the office at the end. Inside you'll find Bigelow and you can search the office.

You'll go to put Leitvol under arrest as soon as you walk in, but first you'll need to ask him a final question.
