Metroid PrimeLog Book/Table of Contents

When you scan certain items in the game the results are stored in your Log Book for future reference. Access the entries using the Start menu. The entries are organized into five categories:

Pirate Data
Decoded Space Pirate log entries. These include backstory elements and information on what the Pirates are up to.
Chozo Lore
Inscriptions found among the ruins of the Chozo civilization. They tell you what happened to the Choze and about the danger lurking below the planet surface.
Creatures
Descriptions of the enemies you may encounter on Talon IV.
Research
Descriptions and uses for the various pickups and game elements.
Artifacts
The names and locations of the 12 Chozo Artifacts needed to unlock the seal at the Impact Crater.

Collecting log entries is optional but bonus features are unlocked when you reach certain benchmarks.
