| Once your tank has landed and the new area's theme has started to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, start moving forward as three Type 2 Tanks come rolling towards you; once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, three holes in the ground will open up, and three UFO Launchers will emerge from them. Once you've popped a wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at each of these to kill them, three more Type 2 Tanks, six Type 1 Tanks and a Type 3 Tank will come rolling towards you - and once you have fired one shot at each of them to kill them four more holes in the ground will open up and four more UFO Launchers will emerge from them. Once you have popped another wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at each of them to kill them, you will have to turn to the right, and continue moving forward as two more Type 3 Tanks come rolling towards you; once you have fired a shot at both of them to kill them, three more holes in the ground will open up and three more UFO Launchers will emerge from their dark depths. Once you have popped a third wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at each of them to kill them, three more Type 3 Tanks, eighteen more Type 2 Tanks and ten more Type 1 Tanks will come rolling towards you while firing pink and orange projectiles at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more holes in the ground will open up and two more UFO Launchers will emerge from them while firing off laser beams at you. Once you have popped a fourth wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at both of them to kill them, you will have to turn to the right and continue moving forward as six more Type 1 Tanks and six more Type 3 Tanks come rolling towards you while firing orange and pink projectiles at you; once you have fired one shot at each of them to kill them, a thirteenth hole in the ground will open up and a thirteenth UFO Launcher will emerge from it while firing laser beams at you. Once you have popped a fifth wheelie, then fired off a nuclear missile at this one to kill it, four more Type 1 Tanks and a thirteenth Type 3 Tank will come rolling towards you while firing orange and pink projectiles at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a fourteenth hole in the ground will open up, and a fourteenth UFO Launcher will emerge from it while firing laser beams at you. Once you have popped a sixth wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at it to kill it, two Type 5 Tanks will come rolling towards you while firing small missiles at you; once you've fired eight shots at both of them to kill them, two more holes in the ground will open up, and two more UFO Launchers will emerge from them, while firing laser beams at you. Once you have popped a seventh wheelie and fired a nuclear missile at both of these to kill them, you'll have to turn to the left and continue moving forward, as you come to two Type 1 Cannons that are firing pink projectiles at you - and once you have fired ten shots at both of them to kill them, the text "PLAYER 1UP STAGE '''02''' CLEAR" will appear on the screen. The "area clear" theme will then start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 for a second time, as the tank moves forward towards the exit hatch and the text of "TIME BONUS! '''XX'''*'''50''' POINTS '''XXX0''' POINTS" (again, the "X"s being the number of seconds you had remaining, and the product of it when it is multiplied by 50) appears on the screen while you receive 50 bonus points for every second of time you have remaining; once that exit hatch has opened up, that text "NOW YOU ASSAULT ON NEXT STAGE!!" will appear upon the screen for a second time as the tank is raised high into the air and dropped down through it to the next area, [[Assault/Crops Grow in River Side|Crops Grow in River Side]] (which will be the setting for the next three stages - along with the tenth and penultimate stage). Also, if you can manage to finish this stage with exactly 0 seconds left, you will receive a time bonus of 160 x 50 points (8000 points), which indicates that you have 2:40 to clear this stage in.
| | The second area requires you to learn the locations of the concealed "UFO Launchers" and fire nuclear missiles at them as they emerge from the ground. It is also advisable to use nuclear missiles on the water-based Type 4 Tanks, as there isn't enough time to score twelve hits on them all (unless, of course, they manage to kill you). A general hint for this area is to drive along the left edge of the walls killing as many enemies as possible until you have made it to the other side of the lake; you should then turn towards the far end of the area, destroy the trees blocking your path, and take out the Type 1 Cannons in order to proceed to the next area. |
