NES

  • Left dpad - Mega Man will move to the left
  • Right dpad - Mega Man will move to the right
  • Up dpad - Mega Man will climb a ladder
  • Down dpad - Mega Man will climb down a ladder
  • A button - Jump
  • B button - Shoot
  • Start button - Opens the weapon sub-screen
  • Select button - Pauses the game, also used for the Mega Man Select Trick

GameCube

  • Left control - Mega Man will move to the left
  • Right control - Mega Man will move to the right
  • Up control - Mega Man will climb a ladder
  • Down control - Mega Man will climb down a ladder
  • B button - Jump
  • A button - Shoot
