Template:Infobox Star Wars is a 1987 game by Namco exclusively for the Famicom. It was never released outside Japan (which got Beam Software's game instead). Namco's game features a variety of different platforming levels interspersed with space combat to break up the action, and has a high difficulty level.
The game is based fairly loosely on Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. While it features a variety of Star Wars characters and cameos of some movie locations, unlike in the film Luke starts with his lightsaber, the other characters already know him, and he seemingly flies the Millennium Falcon without the aid of either Han Solo or Chewbacca.
