Template:Infobox The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is an action-adventure developed and published by Nintendo for the 3DS. It is the first original installment in the series for the platform, and the successor to 1991's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
A Link Between Worlds takes place in the same world as its predecessor, only generations later. It inherits a similar world map and certain mechanics from A Link to the Past, but also includes a number of new features, including those never before used in the Legend of Zelda series. These include the protagonist Link's ability to merge into walls as a painting and an item rental system.
