Metroid Prime Hunters

I merged "Power-ups" and "Modes" into single pages and removed the sections from the ToC. Things may need to be moved around, but I'm unfamiliar with the formatting, so I'm gonna need a little help. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 13:10, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

Vhoscythe may present to be a problem. It's on the long side. Lunar Knight (Talk to me + Contribs) 17:52, 5 July 2008 (CDT)

Thanks. I didn't even know that existed. - Koweja (Talk | Contributions) 17:41, 10 July 2008 (CDT)

Can you take a look at http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=Ms._Pac-Man/Walkthrough&curid=8000&diff=288854&oldid=236849&rcid=271873 and http://strategywiki.org/w/index.php?title=Galaga/Walkthrough&curid=17966&diff=288852&oldid=251016&rcid=271871. They need cleanup for sure, though I'm not sure how to merge the content in. -- Prod (Talk) 23:54, 12 July 2008 (CDT)

Featured article ideas

I was looking through your page here: User:Procyon/Famicom, and I think games such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong could be featured. The Wiki has been at 5 featured guides for a while, and it certainly needs some new ones. What do you think? RobJ1981 14:30, 28 July 2008 (CDT)

I added Donkey Kong to the requests for featured guides. While it is a retro game, it isn't known only for that. Newer gamers experience it for the first time, due to the Virtual Console and the recent Donkey Kong documentary: King of Kong. I'm not going to request any older games until the wiki has a lot of more modern/recent games as featured. So, games from the 1990s-present, is what I'm going by for future requests. New Wiki

Hey Procyon, I'm a little bit out of the loop. You mentioned Echelon is starting up second wiki? What for, may I ask?--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 11:56, 14 August 2008 (CDT)

Wow! Very exciting indeed! I can't wait to see it up and running.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 13:19, 14 August 2008 (CDT)

Bot

Probably could have been botted, but it wasn't that much effort and it was much easier going than trying to do the misspellings log. I only found the page when I was looking through Template:Future and thought it had been there for a long time, I didn't realise that it had only been there a month. Oh well... I'll finish it off.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 12:49, 14 August 2008 (CDT)

Kid Icarus

I wasn't sure if these were listed yet:

Press B, A, then B on Controller 1 after a game over, but before title screen appears. (Continue) Inside the shop, press A + B simulataneously on Controller #2. (Lower Prices in Shop). Since those are the only controller cheats (that I could find at least), perhaps Kid Icarus/Passwords should be renamed so they can be in that page. Good job on the guide, it looks complete to me. RobJ1981 02:45, 21 August 2008 (CDT)

Star Fox 2

Hi, yes I think I'm going to make multiple pages. I was thinking of making these sections:

1-Intro, Contents and Emulation

2-Controls

3-Character Selection

4-Difficulty

5-Gameplay

6-Strategy

7-Scoring

8-Secrets (with trivia added)

But anyway how do you normally create the pages? just typing for example http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Star_Fox_2/Controls and editing it? How then do you put them in order for the table of contents?

Thanks for the help ; ) ~ Galaxy 20:19, 24 August 2008 (CDT)

---

Well thanks for that, sorry for the trouble, I had a look on the guide but didn't realise how to do it, now I know you have to do it editing the ToC. Thanks again. ~ Galaxy 20:29, 24 August 2008 (CDT)

re: DoubleJump

No problem, I'm a big fan of their work, and their guides are pretty much the only guides I buy any more. I'm just happy that the template has finally been put to good use. --Vizeroth 22:21, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Er, that reminds me Procyon, I realise I never told you about {{DoubleJump}} being made functional, but you've probably noticed that by now. :P It's not very good but it's a start, and it's probably more noticeable than the sidebar idea anyway since it's not competing for attention with the Flash ad. GarrettTalk 00:10, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Capcom Mark of the Millenium cleanup

Please take a look at {{Command Move}}. I believe it shouldn't exist, with the whole fighting game standardization, so if you would take care of that and then notify the author, I'd be appreciative. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:25, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

KOF ToC

Hiho

Just one short Question: Is there any reason why the KOF Orochi ToC got deleted? (The King of Fighters Orochi Collection/Table of Contents)

Greetings Bmuig 21:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)(Talk)

thx for restoring the page and thx for the nice welcome ^_^ Bmuig 21:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)(Talk)

Zelda II strategy

You sure have a wealth of knowledge to put into your Famicom guides... do you know so much by just playing the game or what? Anyway, I know the Zelda II guide is incomplete, so I hope I'm not jumping the gun here, but I seemed to remember that you can use the Fairy spell to unlock doors by flying into the keyhole. A quick google search tells me that it won't unlock doors, it'll just allow Link to get to the other side. You may want to incorporate this into your guide. New User 22:49, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry again

I don't expect you to accept my apologies, but I apologize nonetheless. I forgot to take my mood stabilizing medicine that day.

Re: Somethin ain't right...

Check out Zelda II: The Adventure of Link/Hearts and Potions... those thumbs don't look right. All of that white should be black, click the thumbs to see what the image should look like. Procyon (Talk) 04:17, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

This issue is GIF-specific--I've swapped one of the images with a PNG and it displays as intended. StrategyWiki is currently using an inaccurate image handler. It causes similar problems with SVG. Hopefully DrBob/Skizzerz/etc. will be able to fix this now we're on the new server. GarrettTalk 04:55, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Link to the Past Edit

This edit here has Rocky, myself, and DrBob a little mixed up. It says it's saying you need 4 silver arrows to kill Ganon, but it seems he's replaced the instance of "4" with a "1", so we don't know what to do. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 16:17, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Each hit does 1 damage instead of 4. -- Prod (Talk) 16:24, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the number next to the weapon reflects how much damage the weapon does to the opponent. Since Ganon has 4 HP, and the player must hit Ganon with four silver arrows, one silver arrows does 1HP of damage to him. The anon edit was correct, it was my mistake initially. Procyon (Talk) 17:43, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Zelda II bosses

Just a note: I went ahead and added boss strategies for each of these. Feel free to make any changes, if you like. I figured I would just help you get the section started. 74.242.104.128 22:47, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps, dude, next time - do it in one large edit rather than multiple smaller ones. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 22:50, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Well done on the completion Proc. I'll have to play through the game now and scrutinize your work xD --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:24, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Page titles

...well, seems like that was really bad timing on my side... :)

Please let me know as soon as there's been a final decision about the titles of those games, so that I can start moving the pages back again^^
--Bmuig 08:15, 10 November 2008 (UTC)(talk)

Nevermind, I just looked at the discusion in the staff-lounge ... I'll start changing those pages back when I get home from work tonight --Bmuig 08:29, 10 November 2008 (UTC)(talk)

Old coverage

Hey dude, I just ran into this, thought it was kind of cool, especially considering our partnership with DJB: http://www.convergenceculture.org/weblog/2006/01/strategywiki_the_new_gamefaqs.html --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 09:53, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Arcade images

I heard you were the one to talk to about getting some more arcade images. We could use an omnidirectional joystick (with all eight direction arrows) or a neutral joystick (maybe not a top-down view?). Also "1P", "2P", etc. buttons in the same style as the "A" and "B" buttons. I don't know if you make these yourself or just know where to get them. I had an idea for dealing with all the variations of button colors and types: maybe a bunch of blank buttons with different colors and a separate background-transparent image overlayed. So if you put in like {{cade|Blue|1P}} you'd get the blue button with the "1P" image on top. Just an idea. Thanks, - najzere 20:47, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Momoko 120 and Urusei Yatsura: Lum no Wedding Bell

Are these the same game? GarrettTalk 22:59, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Reply to the new games.

I understand. If you want me to do it without any help than that's fine. I apologise to put them through their paces. I just feel guilty and scared a lot. I won't do that sort again and if I make anything else worse than I'm sorry. If you want me to quit this site than I'll understand. Johnnyauau2000 01:49, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Now that I considered that, I took some major time figuring out all the links for Quantum of Solace and did the content setup for Call of Duty and Quantum of Solace. I also learn to do the header and footer off by heart. I understand the process of images but I know I can't produce the box art out of thin air. Maybe I overlooked something. I'm just wondering if you download the image first than upload it to this site or is the process is very different? Is the source in anything other than Gamespot? I'm just puzzled that's all.

To tell the truth, its not that I don't wanna do those things but whether I ever have the guts to do it. Like when you go into editing world, people you meet might be evil at first but later it turns out to be nice people. To make it harder, I do have mild autism. I don't know who to trust in this world nowadays. So its the sort of criticisms I'm used to nowadays. Not to mention that I do like to cry a lot over my problems. Anyway, thank you for giving me a wake up call. Johnnyauau2000 05:46, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks again. I'll keep it in mind. Johnnyauau2000 15:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

ActRaiser maps

Should I restore those images I thought were copyvio and tag them for cleanup? - najzere 19:25, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Channel F

Shouldn't we keep it under guide completion? It was a console with a few games. See Wikipedia--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 20:30, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I see. I didn't realize it broke the page! Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how it works either >.<--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 01:57, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

GDNA quiz

Hah, well I only added it because you added it. But then I noticed you had only used the image, so I had to one up (no pun intended) you. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 22:27, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

GamerWiki

Hi Procyon, I've highlighted your GamerWiki proposal to Tyagi by e-mail. --Barthax 12:42, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

GamerWiki sounds like a decent name if we can get it. VGWiki may work as well.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 12:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
We should grab as many domains as we can... --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:53, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Forum

Well I tried to log in but it got rejected. Do you need to register or is there something I jumped into without thinking? I have a feeling I may need to register first. Johnnyauau2000 02:12, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Actually it got worst. The password rule is not what I was hoping. It requires a mix of small/big cases numbers and the computer symbols which makes it too complex. So on second thoughts, I wouldn't register to a forum without screwing up my password. So sorry about that. Maybe if they relax the password rule than I won't have to memorise two passwords for the rest of my life. Johnnyauau2000 06:26, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Street Fighter EX bios

Which sources? I've been translating the character profiles from the waybacked versions of the EX2 and EX2 Plus sites, as well as the ending transcriptions from All About Capcom Fighting Games (which you can see here as well) and none of the backstories given match up. For example, I have yet to see an official source from Capcom or Arika which states that Sharon and Blair are sisters. Or that Hayate and Hokuto are lovers? Jonny2x4 23:07, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Like I said. I own All About Capcom Head-to-Head Fighting Game book myself and none of those character connections I've brought up are mentioned, having just look up Blair Dame and Sharon's bios right now. Sharon's bio implies she has a relative she doesn't know of, but its a relative who works for a crime syndicate.
Just to be certain that you actually own All About Capcom too and aren't just bsing, on which pages do you find Sharon and Blair's bios? Jonny2x4 23:28, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
I just wanted to be certain that you were telling the truth (since I have come across my fair share of BSers during the years). Don't take it personally, especially since you proved to me you're the real deal. As for my edit history is not the issue here. Any problem I have other editors is purely their business and mine.
I'm just like everyone else who contributed to the site and make it all the posted info as legit as possible. Those EX bios struck me as suspicious, since I'm working on a Street Fighter EX2 and EX2 Plus plot guide (which I will post on my personal blog) and none of the plot developments brought up there are mentioned in all the published backstories and endings I've read and I wanted to change them.
I take it you didn't write them yourself? Jonny2x4 01:49, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Sure, no prob. I didn't meant to offend you, so sorry. I'll be fixing the other characters' bios soon. Jonny2x4 03:14, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Street Fighter The Movie Moves

Hey Procyon, do you mind if I finish up the moves for the Arcade Movie version? (BackLash 12:15, 14 December 2008 (UTC))

Star Wars: the Clone Wars lightsaber duels

Hey that thing is a game check wikipedia for proof and it is a Wii game.(Cherdenko 04:20, 15 December 2008 (UTC))

No need to create a new section :). Just wanted to say that I wrote you an email via SW mail and it says it went through, but I don't know if it would say that even if you don't have it set up. Thus this notice! - najzere 18:12, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Nice siggy

Just thought I'd drop by and say that... it reminds me of the NES controllers for some odd reason... --Skizzerz 03:53, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Lol, this is too funny... It's there Najzere, but you can't see it since you actually on my talk page :) Poor Prod is going to be left out of this trend cuz his name is only one syllable. Unless he does Pr and od. Procyon 18:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah...duh. Also I had to laugh because I thought the ^_^ was part of your signature! - najzere 18:58, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Prod could do what I just did. I've multicoloured my sig! Gee, I wonder how far along the page you can go with these ':' things? --Melon247 17:55, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Merge Contra?

I did wonder about that, but a lot of the information I found claimed "the NES version is significantly different" and said it had much longer stages. Based on what you've said merging them makes sense, and once you get up to 1988 you can sort out any elements that need clarifying. GarrettTalk 22:11, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Meeting

Hey Proc, is there a meeting this week?--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:27, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for letting know! If we have time, I'd like to bring up a main page/community portal overhaul. There's a thread on the forums, but there hasn't been much discussion about it.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:43, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Dragon Warrior II images

Are the images on this page screenshots, or art from comics or what? They're currently categorized as Artwork, which is where they look like they belong, but maybe they're Icons. Just checking. - najzere 21:38, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

New command list sugestion

Though when I first saw the SFIV move list's, I thought they where too cool not to try them out. But currently I'm leaning towards the folowing design.
