Kid Icarus/Passwords

Enter your password on this screen

Whenever you die you are presented with a 24-character password. If you record these characters, you can choose to continue from the stage you last played with your inventory intact by entering this password on the password screen. Most passwords are a nonsensical collections of letters and numbers which convert into particular stats and item collections. However, some less random passwords may also be entered. None are intentional, they simply happen to work. A majority of them deposit you on the final stage, with some oddities with your statistics. For example, you may appear to have all five arrows, but you may not be able to destroy all enemies with a single arrow. You may appear to have 999 hearts on the sub-screen, but have less than that on the game screen. You may appear to have 99 Mallets, but as soon as you use one, your supply reduces to 0.

Note: The following passwords will not work on the Wii Virtual Console or 3D CLASSICS versions of the game.
