Carbon Fire is played in a robotics facility complete with holograms of robot models on display, conveyor belts moving machinery along, and swinging robotic assembly mechanisms. It features metallic rooms, scaffolding, winding passages, and pathways. There are three levels, but not everywhere throughout the map. There is also an open area where you can see the night sky.
Be careful, because you can fall in between the walls of the waste disposal chute and get smashed. You can also be knocked off the ledge or one of the swing lifts in the open area and fall to your death.
The stinger is good to have for remote kills down long hallways. Be wary when trying to get the powerup bonanza in the poop chute; flak cannons or rockets fired as canisters can be dropped in on you without you being able to do anything about it.
There is a waste disposal chute, which is a big, slow, circular platform that acts like a lift but doesn't lead anywhere. It just goes down and up very slowly. When it reaches its lowest point, the two powerups spawn. You have to wait until it gets all the way back up before you can jump out and use them.
There are two swing-lifts in the open area, which are big disks you can jump onto that will take you to and from different parts of the map. When they operate, they swing fast around in a semi-circle through open space. You don't want to be knocked off the lift or you'll die.
