The Paladin is sort of like the "tweener" of Axon heavy armor. It's weapons systems don't pack the punch of the Goliath, but it can be a very effective damage dealer in the right hands, and it's no easy kill.
It is slow moving and does not turn easily, but it has as much armor as a Goliath. It's main gun is versatile, being deadly to both light armor and infantry. It has a shield that can be deployed to stave off damage, as well as a special attack that works well when surrounded.

Normal movement keys are usable from the pilot position to move forward, backward, left or right.
Primary fire for the pilot is an ion cannon blast with a small area affect that will usually kill infantry in one shot, and do lots of damage on lightly armored vehicles.
Secondary fire brings up a shield barrier that absorbs damage from one direction and lasts for maybe 10-15 seconds if left on for the whole time. The shields deploys when the secondary fire button is held down. It takes about 2 seconds to deploy. The shield is best used in small doses for when you see incoming fire. The shield will remain deployed as long as the secondary fire button is held down, until it runs out of energy and expires. If it is left on until it expires, it takes a few seconds to recharge, then another 2 seconds to re-deploy, so don't let it expire if you can help it.
While the shield is on, firing the primary weapon will result in a plasma shock disbursement emanating from the Paladin in a small area all around. The shock blast will kill enemy infantry, damage vehicles, and knock pilots out of light vehicles like Mantas and Scorpions.
