Items

NOTE: These lists may be incomplete. Especially the weapons & armor lists.

Many of the items can be found in the item shop, or weapon shop in town, although the weapon shop won't open until after you beat the first boss. Several dungeons have shopkeepers in them, though they tend to leave once you beat the dungeon, so be sure to stock up on things like shields or mushrooms while you can. Items are worth half their cost (so you buy an apple for 500, but can only sell it back for 250).

Consumables

  • Apple - Restores 3 HP. Costs 500.
  • Cheese - Restores 6 HP. Costs 1000.
  • Mushroom - Restores 10 HP. Costs 2000.
  • Cape Herb - Cures paralysis. Costs 500.
  • Antidote Herb - Cures poison. Costs 500.
  • Warp Gate - Returns you to town. Costs 1500.
  • Power Capsule - Doubles your power for a short time. Costs 2000.
  • Defense Capsule - Doubles your defense for a short time. Costs 2000.

Special Items

  • Hearts - Use them to gain one life point and to refill your life.
  • Source of Power - Raises your power by 1-3 points. Save before using it.
  • Drop of Protect - Raises your defense by 1-3 points. Save before using it.
  • Reviving Mirror - Revives you, then breaks if equipped. Worth 5000.
  • X-Ray Glasses - Use to see a map of the current level.
  • Magic Wallet - Gains cash over time (but not very much). Use it to drain the cash. Money in the wallet doesn't appear to be halved when you die.
  • Scrap of Paper - Reads "... went with Roun to the Tower of Light ... divided into four parts ... down the hidden staircase ... that room ... sealed up the Fairy source..." This seems to be a hint about getting the Foundation jade. Worth 2.

Jades

Jades hold Fairies that give you special powers or attack the enemy. You can have two jades active at any given time, after which using the other jades will have no effect. If a Fairy is already out, you can use its jade again to recall it. See the |section on jades for more information. You can't sell jades once you have bought or found them, so you might want to avoid getting jades you know you will not use to save inventory space for recovery items.

Weapons

  • Copper Sword - Attack 1. You start the game with one. Slashes a circle in front of you. Costs 3000.
  • Iron Sword - Attack 2. Slashes a circle in front of you. Costs 12000.
  • Long Bow - Attack 2. Shoots an arrow. Costs 11000.
  • Boomerang - Attack 5. Flies forward and back around. Costs 8000.
  • Battle Ax - Attack 5. Chops straight forward. Can break pots and boxes to find treasure. Costs 3000.
  • Morning Star - Attack 7. Shoots forward and back. Costs 4000.

Armor

Helmets

  • Leather Helmet - Defense 1. You start the game with one. Costs 5000.
  • Iron Helmet - Defense 3. Costs 13000.

Body Armor

  • Leather Armor - Defense 1. You start the game with one. Costs 8000.
  • Chain Mail - Defense 3. Cost ?
  • Banded Mail - Defense 5. Costs 21000.

Shields

Shields do not give you defense. Instead, they have an endurance score that shows how many hits they can block before they break. Weaker shields block fewer hits.

  • Buckler (30) - Costs 2000.
  • Round Shield (50) - Cost ?
  • Kite Shield (60) - Cost 4000?
