Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana was released in 1999/2000 for Sony's PSX. Legend of Mana (LoM) puts you in a fantasy world, full of mystic, even sometimes bizarre, creatures, like live teapots, onion-warriors etc. It's a beautiful game, with hand-drawn sceneries and characters, and one of the most beautiful soundtracks, this game is worth the trip down memory lane to old school Playstation games. . There is actually a two player mode, where a second player can control one of the game's many NPC's.
