Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (マリオ&ルイージRPG Mario & Luigi RPG?) is a clever and entertaining turn-based RPG starring everyone's favorite plumbers. Relying primarily on timing in order to execute attacks and dodge danger, the game offers first-time players a completely new kingdom, the Beanbean Kingdom, lead by none other than the Queen Bean. The game itself is entirely single-player, with a "Multiplayer" option for Mario Bros., the classic platformer, included as a bonus on the cartridge. However, this guide will focus entirely on the "Superstar Saga" portion of the game.

Story[edit]

The game opens with the "Ambassador" from the Beanbean Kingdom visiting Princess Peach. The ambassador is offering a gift as a gesture of goodwill. However, things soon go wrong when the "gift" sprays the princess with a noxious gas. The ambassador's true form is revealed! A henchmen uses his bizarre helmet to absorb the fumes, the princess faints and the two escape from the castle.
