Basic Controls

Button Usage
Neutral dpad Select icon.
Circle button Help function.
Square button Display monster data.
Cross button Confirm selection.
Triangle button Cancel.
R1 button Advance pages (during data screens and Competition Schedule). Move 1 (View Mode)
L1 button Go back pages (during data screens and Competition Schedule). Zoom in (View Mode)
R2 button Move 2 (View Mode)
L2 button Zoom out (View Mode)

Battle Controls

Button Usage
Square button Threaten.
Cross button Confirm fighting techniques.
R1 button Move monster right.
L1 button Move monster left.
Up dpad / Down dpad Change techniques at selected range.
Left dpad / Right dpad Select ranged techniques.
Start button Pauses game.
Select button Brings up Quit Menu when game is paused.
