Characters can be classified according to their magic affinity:

  1. Valsu and Olvan can use mostly White spells
  2. Esuna and Kamil can use both magic systems
  3. Wilme and Lejes can use mostly Black spells
  4. Lux can use his (its?) own Black spells

When choosing a partner (Chapter 2 and later), it's important that at least one of the two can use White healing magic.

Spell effects

Most spells correspond to an item. Because of the difficulty of the game, it's good to stock up about 7-8 of each available item, even if the characters can cast the corresponding spell. Learn how to proceed without runes, because they can be stolen or lost in at least three points of the plot.

  • Healing spells: spells that can be used both in battle and outside;
  • Field spells: spells that can be used only outside battle;
  • Support spells: battle spells that target the allies;
  • Debuff spells: battle spells that target the enemies and have an effect apart from dealing damage;
  • Attack spells: battle spells that damage the enemies.
