== New Super Mario Bros. World headers ==
Hey T., great work on the [[New Super Mario Bros.]] cleanup. One thing, though: having the World headers as sub-pages essentially creates duplications. There is always a conflict here between having minor duplication, which can be effective/nice, and simplifying/streamlining content. For example, we typically go with making such headers just black, unlinked text. That way, the ToC denotes the levels under that world. The only reason to keep the world subpages is if they have something beneficial. I can see how it would be nice for readers to be able to click to a world header and see an overview of what level is what, which helps them identify them by name, but if someone is playing the game, they know what level is what. They don't need a synopsis of what each level nearby is, they just need help with the levels they can't beat. So, in short, I don't think we need the world pages, even if they seem a little beneficial. @{{user|Procyon}}, can you weigh in on this? --{{User:Notmyhandle/Sig}} 05:31, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello T.testLP! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Moydow T · C 04:07, 26 November 2010 (CST)

Preload buttons

The preload buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the preload buttons located above the edit text box, which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — Moydow T · C 10:35, 1 December 2010 (CST)

Hey, don't forget to use the correct preload button when you create a new page. For most guide pages, you'll need the "Guide page" button, which is second from the left. It may take a while to get used to this, since you're probably used to just jumping in and editing on other wikis, but this is just one extra click before you start editing. Ask me if you've got any questions. Moydow T · C 10:51, 8 December 2010 (CST)

Thanks!

Thanks again!
Thanks again!
A little thank you…
For your achievements in working on the TF2 guide.

I'd just like to say thank you for expanding the Team Fortress 2 guide, and I hope that you will continue to make that guide and perhaps others the best they can be! Feel free to copy/paste that thank you box to your userpage. Keep up the good work, --Skizzerz 05:04, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Dota 2 hero pages

Hi there. If you post a method for getting hero data (e.g. a link to the site's you referenced for data/images), on the Dota 2 discussion page, I will help create each hero page and fill in their infoboxes. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:57, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Aha, it most definitely is tedious! I've been doing this sorta thing for a loooong time now :) Check out these pages and their histories: Dragon Warrior III/Enemies and {{DW3enemy}} - that was nuts (3 different games' content combined into one page)! And we're still not done! I still have to gather the remaining Game Boy Color images. Anyways, I'll try and help out. Whenever I see your edits I will be reminded to help add a page or something. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 04:02, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
There is no significant difference between 90 and 105 px images while on the page. Also, do not use level 3 headers after level 1. We want the headers to represent the tiered hierarchic of content, so it would be inaccurate to skip a level. See StrategyWiki:Guide/Wiki markup for a comparison of levels. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:42, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
Magic Wand

I don't understand. You uploaded one version of the file that was wrong, so you uploaded the correct one, right? The one at the top is correct, so what's the problem? You don't like how the history shows the wrong file being uploaded? It doesn't seem like something we need to delete, but I've gone ahead and done so anyways so you can proceed. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:56, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, it's the correct image. I double checked on dota2.com. Make sure you refresh the page (F5) on both the image page and any page that has the image on it, or clear your cache (the way to do that is browser specific so you'll have to look it up) if that doesn't work. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:05, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Table of Contents

The ToC links should be the full page name, not some arbitrary shortened version. I can help you with that. The full titles make it easier to find a character in the listing, since they aren't alphabetical. Also, I was thinking maybe we could put little portrait icons (like 5x5 or 10x10) next to the name for even easier browsing. Are there any square portraits you can get us? Maybe in game? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:54, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

I'll try installing the game this week and take a look. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:41, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Btw, congrats on getting all of the hero pages started. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:43, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Yeah a friend of mine gave it to me on Steam this week. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:51, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Ace Attorney

Thank you for writing the Walkthrough for Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. There is just very few things to do like writing something to the Locations in Case 04: Turnabout Reminiscence and fill out Case 05: Turnabout Ablaze. Should i add other characters to Characters Page? Paco (talk) 19:13, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

Adminship

Heya, Test. I was wondering if you'd be interested in one day becoming an administrator on the site. Everything you've done for the site so far is, to put it bluntly, awesome. Your collaboration with Paco over the Ace Attorney Investigations guide is great along with what you've done for the Dota 2 and Smash Bros. guides, I like the idea of spoiler tags in Layton games, and I'm pretty sure that there's no problem with your understanding of the site's policies. I know we don't agree on everything (that whole fighting game debate is something we'll probably never agree on) but your contributions really impress me and I'd like to see more of them. ^_^ Quite honestly, I'm surprised you haven't been nominated already. I'd be honored to nominate you if you're interested. --WarioTalk 04:02, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

I would support the nomination. Procyon 04:04, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Great! ^_^ Fill out this page and we'll see how it goes. --WarioTalk 22:18, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Success

Congratulations Test, you were promoted to sys admin. We look forward to your help with the site, and your continued outstanding contributions! Procyon 00:10, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Congrats! :D --WarioTalk 15:11, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
I know this is delayed, but grats! Keep up the great work. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:50, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Professor Layton and the Curious Village

The Page is almost completed. Can you write something about Searching, Talking and Moving on Getting Started-Page and a bit about Laytonmobile on Layton and Luke Page? I've sent you an email about the pics for the weekly puzzles. Other than that, i'd say it's completed. Paco (talk) 16:18, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I was wondering if you would have a look over my use of categories on the fish images I've uploaded (so far just ACNL_shark.png and ACNL_seahorse.png). I don't want to start uploading a load of stuff without getting this bit right first!! It's been a few years since I last worked on a guide here! Thank you!! --Minx (talk) 22:07, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

Sorry to bother you again, but can you write something to some Characters here and if you think this character should be main character and this main character should be only a minor character, then go ahead and change it. If you also want write something about some characters other than the main/minor characters then that is fine too. I will help out with images for the 3. part of the series too. Blocking anonymous users

Hi test, unfortunately, we cannot block anonymous users indefinitely, as IPs get moved around all of the time. We might end up blocking a legitimate user (highly unlikely, but this is our policy). So, in most cases we only block anon users for up to 1-3 months. In this case I did 6, it doesn't really matter. In most cases, these IPs do not spam after the first day. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 15:54, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
