Template:TOCleft Welcome to the Final Fantasy X strategy guide. Although this Wikibook is only in the early stage of development, it is open for anyone to edit and despite this daunting task, together we should be able to create an easy to understand walkthrough and reference guide. Don't hesitate to add, edit, or make general suggestions for any part of this project. We also have the Illustrated Guide to the world of Spira (FFX and FFX-2) Wikibook with background information about the history, races and places of Spira, the world where both Final Fantasy X and it's sequel Final Fantasy X-2 take place.
Released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001, Final Fantasy X marked a few key milestones for the venerable Final Fantasy franchise. It was the first in the series to move away from static sprite or pre-rendered graphics, presenting the entire game in a real-time 3D atmosphere. It featured in-game voice acting, adding further to the cinematic experience. This game was also the first title in the series to spawn a sequel, Final Fantasy X-2.
