Map of Last call

This is the final map for TNT: Evilution. If you complete it, you have finished half of Final Doom - there's still the Plutonia Experiment, a series of difficult levels.

First half[edit]

Go to the end of the corridor and open the door to your right. You will see a grid of platforms with torches -- this a maze where you will die instantly if you step on the wrong platforms. Note the colors of the torches on each platform, and follow the sequence indicated by the rows of torches in the starting corridor:

Red, green (2X), blue, green, blue, green, blue, green (2X), red, blue, red, blue

The path is also highlighted on your automap, as seen above. While you are expected to complete the entire route, you can cut corners. A shortcut can be taken at the fifth torch by running diagonally (taking care to avoid the south edge of the platform with the red torch). If you can't make the shortcut, simply complete the maze normally.

The north door will lead to a corridor containing three enemies. You may kill or evade them, although attacking will alert the ones hiding in later alcoves, making a quick run harder. First, flip the switch on the east edge of the pillar - this raises a bridge to the south but also brings the enemies in the alcoves into view. Press the switch that's across the bridge, and exit to the east.

The next corridor is empty, save for a sergeant. Press the switch to open the door.

The last room will have a red key on the center pillar, overlooked by a cyberdemon. Press the switch behind the cyberdemon (either evading, distracting, or killing it), and climb the stairs that form around the central pillar. Continue through the south door, and enter the teleporter.

Second half[edit]

After the teleporter, you can get extra armor and a soul sphere for extra health, and a partial replenishment of ammo. Continue down the corridor, there will be a demon and a quantity of lost sould. In addition, there are enemies outside the windows to the left and right of the corridor.

The teleporters at the end of the room lead to the boss brain. Any monsters that were still alive in the previous corridor's windows will teleport to the middle of the room. As with Doom II, the boss brain will constantly generate random monsters.

There are two steps needed to defeat the boss brain. First, jump from the top of the staircase to the platform at the north of the room, and flip the switch there to activate the stairs. Next, stand on the step just below the top of the stairs, and fire your rocket at the brain. The enemies may interfere with this - if so, clear them out and try again.

Unlike Doom II, you can use direct fire weapons to defeat the brain.

Secrets[edit]

The only official secret is unavoidable, triggered by entering the boss brain arena.
