Once you've beaten this form, there will be a cutscene where Wily tries to retreat, but he is stopped by your character. He then reels back and starts begging for mercy. After that, enjoy the credits. After the credits, if you've beaten the game on Easy, you'll unlock Mega Man S. If you've beaten the game on Normal, you'll unlock Mega Man C and if you've beaten the game on Hard, you'll unlock Mega (Rock).

Proto eye is pretty much the easiest boss battle in the game which all characters are going to be able to defeat it easily.

As it comes toward you keep attacking until it gets close to you. to get behind it, be ready and as it jumps again run under it and get to the other side.

In normal mode each time that Proto eye gets to either side of the screen, it'll shoot a green ball at you. Which is really easy to dodge.

In hard mode it'll shoot three balls. It's better for your character to stay on the other side of the screen and try to jump above the one in the middle (short jump to avoid hitting the highest one.)

General: Cutman constantly jumps so you shouldn't get confused. If you run toward him, he will jump over you. So you shouldn't hesitate or he'll land on you. After you run toward him and he jumps over you, turn back and run toward him again and he'll jump over you again. You also have to attack while doing this.

But after a couple of times he won't jump and will stay to throw cutter at you. So you have to be on guard and ready if he suddenly stays. Mostly it won't be a problem if you get ready after three or two jumps. When he throws a cutter don't run away from it since it's useless. Instead, jump over it and run toward Cutman. Cutman will as usual jump over you and the cutter won't come back to you again because Cutman will be already behind you.

Cutman's special attack is that he throws a giant cutter at you. You will understand when he wants to do it because he is going to stay and say "Cutting it up!" while shining and being invincible. You have to stay on the side and as he throws it, jump over it, then Immediately change your direction and run behind the cutter and move back to your previous position. In hard mode, Cutman's going to do it two times in a row each time. So be ready.

Mega Man: If playing on normal or easy mode, use the Guts Blocks first and then use buster canon but if you're on hard mode just use buster canon.

Bombman: Rolling cutter is Bombman's weakness so you have to be careful in this boss battle when playing as Bombman. Don't throw bombs aimlessly, each time after you run toward Cutman and he jumps over you, turn back and slam a bomb at him. And be careful with the big cutter because it's going to cost you a lot of health.

Oilman: Just like Bombman, as Cutman jumps over you, turn back and shoot oil at him.

General: Bombman jumps and throws bombs at you. When he jumps you have to notice where he wants to land and if you're in his way, run away. In normal mode which he throws only one bomb at a time, you have to simply dodge the bombs and Bombman himself. If you found yourself stuck on either sides (near the walls) when he throws the bomb at you, just as it land jump and you'll be fine (It will be explode when you're in mid-air and won't hurt you). In hard mode, he throws two bombs at a time. Running away won't help you to dodge them. The trick actually is that when he throws the two bombs you have to stand between them and as they land, jump (not to the left or right, only on your position). If you're near a wall, things change. One of them will explode into the wall. So in that case you have to stay between them and not jump. But try to avoid getting to the corners anyway. Bombman's special attack is that he throws a giant bomb at you. Note that when he wants to do it he'll stay in one of the sides and says "I'll show you!", "That's a bit harsh" or "Don't cry now!" and you have to go to the other side. He does it in two different ways:

  • He throw the bomb directly at you. In that case you simply have to run from it and dodge.
  • He throws the bomb near himself and it would bounce toward you. In that case stay and after it does it's 2nd bounce run and try to pass under it when it does it's third bounce. Right after you dodge it notice where Bombman jumps because in many cases it's you're head where he lands on.

Mega Man & Cutman: Use Rolling Cutter and dodge Bombman when he gets hit. You can also cut bombs he throws (even the large one!) using Rolling Cutter. Should be a breeze.

Gutsman: Just try to create and pick up the Guts Blocks in the right time. In hard mode, do it when he wants to do his special attack and after the attack is over, throw it to him.

Ice Man: Ice Man is weak to Bomb Man's Hyper Bomb, so get ready for a very tough battle. It's a better idea to fight him on Hard. When he throws 2 bombs, simply jump at the right time and you'll be fine. Also get ready for his critical attack. He may throw a bomb directly at you (after saying "That's a bit harsh") or throw a bomb that will bounce a couple of times before exploding (saying "I'll show you!").

Oilman: Oil Slider is a bad idea. Just be patient and use oil drops to hit him.

General:When fighting Iceman, you need to be careful not to slip if you're fighting him in his own stage. Iceman walks around and shoots three ices at a time. He walks, stays, Shoots three ices, Three more ices and then walks again. This is how it goes. You have to stay on the side. If he gets far from you, well don't worry. But if he got close to you be ready to jump over him if he got too close to you in his next move and go to the other side. He shoots the three ices in three different ways:

  • He will shoot 3 ices in a row while on the ground. In that case jump over the first two, then the last one.
  • He will shoot one while on the ground and the other two while in mid-air. You just have to be worry to dodge lower one. But when you dodge, do a short jump not to hit the higher ices.
  • He will jump and shoot two in mid-air and the last one on the ground. Be ready and as you saw the second ice passed over your head jump and dodge the last one.

Iceman's special attack is that he will land a cresset between himself and you which your attacks won't get through it. Only Iceman can attack on the other side. When that happens stay calm and just dodge until the cresset melts (and don't stand on the cresset). A few characters can attack from the other side of the cresset. If you jump as Cutman and throw the cutter and Iceman is in mid-air you can hit him. Also you can jump and shoot oil drops at Iceman as Oilman. You can hit him with Timeman too. In hard mode he lands a couple of cressets. When he wants to do it (Jumps and says "Ice!"), shelter on the corner because it's the only safe place from getting hit by them. Be patience and wait until they melt.

Bombman: Hyper Bomb is Iceman's weakness. In hard mode break the cressets with your bombs and keep attacking him.

Mega Man: Use Hyper Bomb. But In hard mode don't waste your bombs breaking cressets. Focus on attacking Iceman.

Gutsman: When he wants to attack, create a block and the ices can't get through. Throw the blocks at him when he's walking.

Fireman: Ice Slasher is Fireman's weakness. So it's harder to fight him as fireman. The key is being very patient and careful.

Oilman: Use oil drops.

General: In Normal and Easy mode, Fireman does two types of attacks. He may Shoot one fire or two in a row. The fist is easy to dodge and to dodge the second type you just have to do a high jump to go ever both of the fires. He also runs around after a few attack. If you see he's running toward you and getting too close, simply jump over him and get far from him. In Hard mode however, he does an extra attack too which he jumps and shoots fire in mid-air. To dodge it, you can jump over them with a long jump. Fireman's special attack is that he sends fire on the ground toward you. When he does that. Don't hesitate and jump over the fire, and then Fireman himself. If he is next to the wall when he does his special attack, Wait for him to do his next attack and then jump over both ground-fire and the fire bolt(s) at the same time. In hard mode, the fire he sends won't be extinguished once reaching the wall and will return. When you see it's about time, wait for Fireman to shoot fire and jump over both of them.

Mega Man & Iceman: Ice Slasher is Fireman's weakness, so use it against him.You can also freeze the fire he sends on the ground with it.

Gutsman: Fire can't get through Guts Blocks. So create one to defend yourself and attack when he hesitates or runs.

Oilman: Shoot Oil drop at him while you're in mid-air and dodging his second type attack. When Fireman shoots only one, just dodge not attack. Because Oil Man is weak to Fire Storm, his attacks will deal great damage to you, so watch out.

General: Oilman on Easy Mode jumps in the corner of the room, fires a single oil drop which leaves a puddle you can slip on and he runs from one side of the stage to the other. Oilman in Normal Mode onward will fire 3 oil drops, and occasionally jump into the player after a volley or to the other side of the stage, so beware of his ground movement and his jump arc. His special attack has him ride his oil like a snowboard from one corner of the stage to the other, he will telegraph this move with a twirl or small dance sometimes accompanied by a voice line, on Normal Mode he will slide once, and on Hard Mode he will slide twice and at the end he will always string it into his oil drop volley or telegraph into another slide.

Mega Man: Fighting him in normal mode onward there are two ways to approach his oil drop volley the first is to jump over the first drop and run under the last 2 which provokes him to jump as early as possible which means you have to look at his jump arc. The second method is to jump in place to keep the oil puddles in one place should he choose to continue to firing his oil instead of using his special attack when he reaches a corner.

Elec Man: Oil Slider is Elec Man's weakness. Even the oil blob will deal a lot of damage to you. When playing on normal or hard, try to stay close to the wall to make Oil Man shoot blobs there. Then jump carefully between first and second blobs while they're flying towards you, run to the other side and repeat the process again. This can be a little hard when he's using his special attack.

Mega Man: Elec Man will run across the room, shooting his Thunder Beam at you. On Easy he'll shoot it when he's only on the ground, but on other difficulties he'll also shoot it in midair. Elec Man's weakness is Oil Slider, but be careful when using it, because Elec Man may damage you by contact if you're not careful. Remember that you can hołd left on your D-Pad to slow your slider down. His critical attack causes lightning to strike directly at your spot, so move away as quickly as possible.

Time Man: Thunder Beam is Time Man's weakness, so you need to be very careful when fighting Elec Man as him. You need to run from side to side of the arena between his attacks. His critical attack shouldn't be a problem too.

Mega Man: Time Man will run back and forth while shooting clock hands at you, sometimes in midair. After a while, he'll use his Time Slow, slowing down your attacks and movements and deactivate it after a while. Then the cycle repeats again. It should be noted that Time Man is invulnerable to all your attacks when activating/deactivating Time Slow.

Guts Man: Despite that Guts Man is weak to Time Slow, this battle is pretty easy. You can trap Time Man using Guts Blocks. One note though: if you're playing on Hard, do not attack Time Man while Time Slow is active. This will cause him to roll and fire a clock hand, which will destroy your Guts Blocks. Unlike in Guts Man's battle, Time Slow will not hurt you, only clock hands will deal you 6 damage. But your attacks will deal 3 damage to Time Man instead of 1 (which is usual amount of damage when you fight a Robot Master your Robot Master is weak to)

Mega Man: Guts Man will pick up a rock, jump a couple of times and throw it at you. When he lands, he'll make an earthquake, which will stun you. Jump as soon as he's about to hit the ground to avoid being stunned. Guts Man's special attack causes him to dig into the ground and then jump with a rock in his hands. When he dug in, run to the wall, wait a bit and jump out of the way. If you jump too late, you'll get hurt by Guts Man's rock. On Hard, Guts Man will also throw a rock at you and then repeat this attack 2 more times.

Guts Man's weakness is Time Slow, but it can be used only twice by Mega Man. If you play as Time Man, simply use Time Slow until he dies, otherwise use Mega Buster or charge shots (when playing as Mega Man C).

Cut Man: Cut Man is weak to Guts Man's Super Arm, so rocks will cost you a lot of health. Try to attack Guts Man when he's not holding the rock. You can also use wall-jumps to avoid rocks.

Mega Man? can only be fought when you play as any Robot Master. He replaces him in his own stage and boss rematches in the 3rd stage of Castle Wily.

Mega Man?'s attacks are very easy to avoid. All he does is runs back and forth while firing 3 buster shots (1 on Easy) and jumping sometimes. He can also slide which you can easily avoid by jumping over him when he does that. After his HP drops below half (anytime on Hard) he'll start using charge shots which are also easy to avoid. On Normal Mega Man? will stand still when charging his buster but on Hard he keeps moving when charging it.

Guts Man: Fighting Mega Man? as him can be hard. Try to place a block in the middle of the arena and attack him at the right time. His charge shots can't destroy your blocks.

Oil Man: To deal normal damage to Mega Man?, you need to crash into him with your Oil Slider. But that's not without risk, because you can also get hit if you're not careful. Otherwise oil blob deals minimal damage. With blobs you'll take him out in 28 hits and with oil sled - in 14 hits.

Yellow Devil is the first of four bosses in the Wily stages, and is also one of the easiest. Its appearance is that of a giant yellow blob with one eye.

On Easy, Yellow Devil stays in one spot and fires a green bullet at you. Remember that you can only attack him when his eye is open.

On Normal, Hard and in Old Style Yellow Devil moves from side to side of the arena splitting into 15 yellow balls. You need to memorize the pattern in order to succesfully survive this attack without getting hit. The pattern for each difficulties as follows:

  • On Normal jump over 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 12th and 15th ball
  • On Hard jump over 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th ball
  • In Old Style jump over 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 10th and 14th ball

After this attack Yellow Devil will shoot a green bullet out of his eye like on Easy. This is your chance to attack him. However, on Hard he'll shoot a laser beam out of his eye that will either move from the ceiling to the floor and vice versa. To dodge it you need to jump as soon as the beam is about to hit you when moving from the ground or by moving close to Yellow Devil if it moves from the ceiling.

Yellow Devil can also slap you if you get too close to him. You have to quickly move away otherwise you'll take a great damage.

Yellow Devil's weakness is Fire Storm, which will destroy him in 7 hits.

This is the second boss of the Wily stages, and is also one of the hardest to defeat. Not only is the battle underwater, but there is a vortex (current) that will force you to the center of the stage if you stay still, and the boss is protected by a large bubble. There are also two Guts Blocks at the start.

On Easy CWU will move in a square pattern and shoot a green bullet at you. On other difficulties he'll use his laser attack that drops two Guts Blocks from the ceiling and sweep across the room. CWU-01P has 5 phases where the color of his eye changes (at the start it's blue, then it becomes green, yellow, orange and red). In the last 2 phases he also moves very fast, but you can use Time Slow to slow him down for a while if you play as Mega Man or Time Man.

CWU's weakness is Super Arm. Oil Slider is a secondary weakness. Oil blob deals 4 damage and the oil sled deals a whopping 10 damage. Thus you'll take out his bubble shield in 5 hits with blobs and in 2 hits with the sled.

Copy Robot

The Copy Robot is a duplicate of whichever character you're playing as.

Note: The following chart only applies if Copy Mega Man is using the Mega Buster. For the other weapons, use the exact same chart of the Robot Master whom the weapon belongs to.

Unlike in the original NES game, here Copy Mega Man can switch weapons independently of you, rather than being limited to using the same weapon you are. However, he takes on the weakness of the Robot Master whose weapon he's using. Pay attention to his color scheme to see whose weapon he's using, then use that Robot's Master's weakness. Unless he uses the Rolling Cutter; there aren't any blocks around to throw with the Super Arm, so just use your Mega Buster then. On Normal Mode, he'll have the Slide and charge shots, even if you don't. On Hard mode, he will only use Mega Buster charged shots.

Copy Roll likes to run toward you and use the double-swing, apparently unaware that your temporary invincibility will make the second swing useless. The same goes for her, so don't make the same mistake. The key here is jump swings. When she runs toward you, jump over her, turn in mid-air, and whack her from behind right before you land. The landing lets you instantly recover from the swing, so immediately run away before she can counter-attack. If she starts jumping toward you, run under her, turn, make a short jump, and strike from behind, then run away.

Copy Robot Masters

The Copy Robot Masters fight exactly like their originals do when you fight them as someone else. The differences in the Robot Masters when they are played as do not apply to their copies, so keep that in mind. Since they're all resistant to their own weapons, you won't be able to do much damage to them per hit. Neither can they, but they can inflict collision damage on you. Note that as Timeman, your Time Slow cancels out Copy Timeman's.

On Normal and Hard, it uses all of the Robot Masters weapons. Like with the Copy Mega Man, his weakness corresponds to the owner of its equipped weapon. Notes:

- You can only use his Rolling Cutter weakness when playing as Guts Man.

- Your Time Slow will not stun the machine when it uses Super Arm. It can be only accomplished by Time Man's clock hands.

This form can only be fought in Old Style and Normal and Hard difficulties in New Style. Wily Machine is flying in this form, so it can be a little hard to hit it. On Normal Wily will simply hover up and down, while on Hard he drifts back and forth when using Robot Masters weapons. Just like in first form his weakness is the weakness of the Robot Master's weapon he's using. Also, Wily Machine has a new attack that depends on your character.

If you play as Mega Man, Mega Man S or Mega Man C, the machine will gain two mechanical arms and rush towards you. To stop it, quickly hit it with the right weakness weapon, otherwise you'll take lots of damage. Note that the machine will never be on Rolling Cutter or Super Arm during this attack, because you can't hit it with the right weakness weapon.

If you play as any Robot Master, Roll or Proto Man, he'll fire energy spheres that will fly in spirallical path. If the machine is set to the right weapon (for example, if you play as Ice Man and the machine is set to Fire Storm), you can use your weapon to stun Wily. In Old Style, Wily Machine's 2nd form will ONLY use energy spheres attack.

Once you've beaten this form, there will be a cutscene where Wily tries to retreat, but he is stopped by your character. He then reels back and starts begging for mercy. After that, enjoy the credits.
