Completing this mission on any difficulty does not unlock any new units. Completing this mission with a gold rank (completing all the objectives) unlocks the TBM-3 General Motors Avenger.

Primary Objective
Secondary Objective

Escort the transport ship carrying medical supplies out of the battlefield.

Hidden Objective

Sink the Yamato before it reaches the shore.

Secondary objective

Around halfway through the mission, a ship will request that you help it reach its destination so it can deliver supplies to Marines. It come with a ship that can provide support, but the main threat to it are the squadrons of aircraft, so send over a squadron of Hellcats to deal with the threat. PT boat threats are not as high, but take them out if they get too close. There is only one transport and if it makes it, you will have completed the secondary objective.

Hidden objective

Early in the mission you will hear that the Yamato has been intercepted and will soon enter the battlefield. Once it does, it will appear on the north part of the map and will make a beeline for the shore after you discover that it has changed its course and is trying to run aground. One of your groups of ships is already in the northern part of the map, so keep it there and send your other group of ships to rally with it (not just to take out the battleship, but because the airfield keeps spawning aircraft and the air attacks won't really die down until you capture it). If you sink it before it gets to the shore, then you will have completed the hidden objective. Even if you fail and the Yamato reaches the shore, you should destroy it anyways. The main guns can wreak havoc among your ships. Also it moves suprisinsgly fast for a battleship.
