Add Xbox buttons

This page needs images of controls for the Xbox from the controller buttons category to make learning the controls easier. If a set of controller button images is available for this system, please add them. If a set of controller images isn't available, it might need to be brought up on StrategyWiki:Staff lounge.

Below are the controls for the NES, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox versions of Mega Man 2. The interface is the same for all versions of Mega Man, with the exception of the navigation mode in Mega Man Anniversary Collection and the new menu designs.

NES controls

• : Ascend ladders, scroll through menus
• : Descend ladders, scroll through menus
• : Run to the left
• : Run to the right

• : Pause (menu)
• : not used

• : Jump, confirm selection
• : Shoot

PlayStation 2 controls

• or : Ascend ladders, scroll through menus
• or : Descend ladders, scroll through menus
• or : Run to the left
• or : Run to the right

• : Pause (menu)
• : Display exit game menu, goes to Navi Mode screen

• : Shoot
• : Jump, confirm selection
• : No use
• : Cancel, auto-fire

• / : Change weapons (left / right)

• : No use

GameCube controls

• : Mega Man will move to the left
• : Mega Man will move to the right
• : Mega Man will climb a ladder
• : Mega Man will climb down a ladder
• : Jump
• : Shoot
• : Opens the weapon sub-screen.

• In Navi Mode, use to open up the weapon sub-screen and to open up the hints screen.
