| This can work with almost any stage. some stages, you have to carry the potion. The easiest stage to do is stage 1-3. Other: get the potion carry it till you get the 5th cherry. 1-3: after 4 cherries get the potion and get the 5th cherry.
| |
| Part 2: put down the potion, grab star man, and then enter the door. Then when the invincibility runs out, quickly go through the door. If done right, you will hear the super Mario bros music. If you enter a new area or die, it’s gone.
| |
| In doki doki panic, the subspace music is different, and there’s no music when you pause.
| |
|
| |
| Note: can only work in super Mario bros 2, super Mario USA, doki doki panic, virtual console, or Nintendo switch online.

| While playing as Luigi, go to any level that has a Spark Chaser and collect a mushroom. Now go to the pipe containing the Spark Chaser and pick it up. You'll need to jump into the ladders above you, and fall onto a Spark. If you did it correctly, Luigi will shoot up into the top section of the pipe, where you'll be free to leave. Upon exiting you'll now be carrying what appears to be a glitched Yoshi egg, which acts exactly like you'd expect the Spark Chaser to act.

|
| |
| If the Egg lands in quicksand, there's a chance it'll get stuck. You can pull it out of the quicksand like any other object.

| You're going to need to find a way to press Up and Down at the same time. It's recommended you try this on the Nintendo Switch Online service, otherwise your only other viable options are using a Game Boy Player or an emulator.

| In the Yoshi Challenge, select World 1-2 and collect the first mushroom (it can be found near the pipes in the overworld). Unlock the door, enter the cave and use bombs to blow up the rocks that are blocking off the area with the ladder and the Gray Snifit. The timing is pretty tricky here which is why it's recommended you use the Nintendo Switch Online service to rewind through any mistakes you make, as otherwise you'll be needing to heal yourself.
| |
|
| |
| What you need to do is pick up the Snifit, and stand at the base of the ladder. You'll want to do a Power Squat Jump and throw the Snifit inside the wall. If it teleports onto the platform above, you did it wrong. It's best to let your character start to fall before releasing it so that your character falls under the enemy. Now you need to perform a glitch (not mentioned on this website) that was exclusive to the NES and SNES versions, which involves using an object to push your character through the floor. This is done by pressing Up and Down around the same time while at the bottom of the ladder, and then releasing it at the same time the object touches you. This should push you a few pixels into the ground, where you can then continue to climb down through the floor and onto a new screen. This trick is harder to master than using a Magic Potion in the NES/SNES versions/ a Key in any version, so trying this glitch out with those items in their respective games is recommended to get a feel for the timing.
| |
|
| |
| Once you've clipped through the floor, you are now in World 1-1, with all your level progress carried over (Your Hearts, Yoshi Eggs and A-Coins.). All you need to do now is get the potion found near the cave exit door, and grab the mushroom.
| |
|
| |
| The only downside to this glitch is that upon clearing the level, your Yoshi Eggs aren't saved.
