Before you start
This game is an open ended world. You can do this before doing either Earth Temple of Wind Temple. However you have to perfom certain actions and get certain items before you start looking for all eight pieces of the Triforce. If you're just going through the game in a straight forward manner, you're going to need one person and several things before you go treasure hunting.
- Free Tingle from his prison on Windfall Island.
- Upgrade your maximum rupee wallet to at least 1,000 (if you're doing it methodically, again it's an open world, you don't have to do it all in one go).
- Recieve Timgle's IN-credible Chart in the mail.
- Have all these items: Bombs, Grappling Hook, Skull Hammer, Hyoi Pear, Hero's Bow, Hookshot and Power Bracelets.

Tingle
In order to decipher the many Triforce Charts you will find in the game, you will need Tingle (his island is at C3). You will need exactly 3,184 rupees (398 per map) to decipher all eight Triforce Charts and reveal the location of all eight Triforce Shards. If you saved up before that, that's how much you need to reveal the shards or the Triforce of Courage which is under the sea!
