Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Arrow! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Skizzerz Scissors.pngSafety Skizzerz Talk · Contribs · Spel Chek™ · VFG · RTFM 16:08, 28 November 2007 (CST)

Editing tips

Hi. You're doing some good work on the Battlestations: Midway guide, which is great, but there are a few things you could improve when editing. :-) Firstly, the "num" parameter of the {{Header Nav}} template should only be used for the main page of a guide, and not its subpages (because it's used to count the number of guides and their completion levels, not the number of pages). Secondly, there's no need to manually put pages in the sub-pages category, as {{Header Nav}} does that automatically. You can see what I mean for these two points by looking at this diff of one of the Battlestations pages. Finally, are you sure you're using {{wip}} correctly? It should only be put on pages if you're currently doing a lot of work on them, or if you plan to come back in a short while and massively expand them — the pages you've written already look quite complete to me, although I don't own the game so I can't know for sure; it's for this reason I've left them on, and it's up to you to decide whether you want to keep them or not. Thank you, and happy editing! :-) --DrBob (talk) 11:26, 29 November 2007 (CST)

I suspected that you were copy-pasting stuff, but I must admit you've done quite well, considering. ;-) I think the three points I mentioned above are the only errors I've seen in your work (apart from any alterations I made to the main guide page, but that's completely different), and I've rectified all instances of the first two I could find, so there's little need for you to go back and fix them. Have you read our guide? You might find it useful, but please tell me if there are any parts you don't so that it can be improved. :-) --DrBob (talk) 11:42, 29 November 2007 (CST)
The Battlestations: Midway guide is looking good. The only suggestion I can make is that if the Getting Started page gets too long, you split it into 3 more pages. 32kb is the ad-hoc limit, and it'll give you a warning when it gets there, but the decision to split is up to you. Keep up the good work :) -- Prod (Talk) 11:38, 30 November 2007 (CST)
Oh, I saw that the page just got to 32kb :P. I would suggest making pages like Battlestations: Midway/Aircraft, Battlestations: Midway/Surface ships, etc and linking to those pages from the Getting Started page (and also add them to the ToC). -- Prod (Talk) 13:38, 30 November 2007 (CST)
It's up to you if you split it or not. As for the walkthrough page, Ocarina of Time is one way of doing things. There are others, just check through some of the guides at completion level 3 or 4 for other examples. -- Prod (Talk) 14:32, 30 November 2007 (CST)
If you named a page wrong, use the Move button at the top to rename it. It does exactly what you did, but much more cleanly. -- Prod (Talk) 17:42, 30 November 2007 (CST)

Walkthrough Subpage

Check out StrategyWiki:Guide/Organizing the pages#Walkthrough. Hopefully that helps. The walkthrough page varies from game to game. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:27, 30 November 2007 (CST)

Depending on the circumstances you can leave it out entirely, however it's best that it exists and then tells people to go to the individual level sections. Here's an example: Diablo II/Walkthrough. Anyways, for BSM you could 1) explain the differences in walkthrough sections (i.e. single player campaign versus Aircraft Challenge Missions, etc.), and 2) Summarize how it's laid out (objectives, method of proceeding, good ways to use the walkthrough like key points people can skim through unless the whole thing is necessary for a successful strategy) and how each section differs, if at all. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:57, 1 December 2007 (CST)
You could also explain how hidden objectives are dealt with (something that you might need to add to the pages you've already made). --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:02, 1 December 2007 (CST)
Walkthrough looks really good now xD. Thanks for doing that. For the nation pages, why not fill in a ton of pure information (unwikified/text dump) so I can come up with a good way to present it? Check out other monster lists at Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger/Enemies, and... well there are more around. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 13:34, 1 December 2007 (CST)

Battlestations: Midway

Being a sysop means I can just help fight vandals, but my main focus involves helping as an editor (ie. helping other guide writers with their guides). What you're probably looking for is the ImageMap extension we have installed. It lets you link different parts of images to different places. However, I'd recommend against imagemaps, since the default behaviour of images is to link to their image page, so people may not know to click links within the image to get to the relevant section. My suggestion would be to move the Multiplayer Maps section below the Getting Started section, and put the banner on the right side under the nations listing. As for subpaging it, just add the relevant links to the Battlestations: Midway/Table of Contents under the Getting Started section, and just cut/paste the information from the Getting Started page to those pages. Go ahead and try it out, if anything goes wrong, just leave me a message. By the way, Battlestations: Midway has been selected as this months promising guide of the month (check the front page). -- Prod (Talk) 23:18, 2 December 2007 (CST)

Prod has been a sysop for over a year now (longer than I); I was just trying to find out specifically when, but there's a log kept on the site as to the exact date. If you're curious, I have sysop stats kept at User:Notmyhandle#Sysop_Info. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:23, 3 December 2007 (CST)

Can you come onto IRC? -- Prod (Talk) 10:23, 4 December 2007 (CST)

I think you may be looking for WP:WP:REVERT. -- Prod (Talk) 16:14, 6 December 2007 (CST)

Using {{cleanup}}

Hey Arrow, when using {{cleanup}} you should use the first parameter to inform editors of what you think specifically needs cleaning up. Also putting the date in there will help us to understand how long its been since it was tagged. Thanks man, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:00, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Sorry, when I say first parameter, it's giving you instructions to use a single pipe with text after it, so it would be: {{cleanup|NOTE}}. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:10, 12 January 2008 (CST)
Lol forgot to sign that last one... Anyways, you can always check the syntax of a template by going to Template:NAME (with the name of the template) - if there is good documentation it will tell you how many parameters there are and what you can do with them, etc. Also, dating any cleanup tag is useful for us (when we stumble upon a page a couple months later it will help prioritize us). Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:10, 12 January 2008 (CST)
There are categories for everything, in your case Category:Header box templates. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:15, 12 January 2008 (CST)
Lol np. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:17, 12 January 2008 (CST)

Slow your roll, playah

Hey Arrow. First, let me thank you for showing some initiative on your part to help make the site better. This is definitely sysop behavior, and like we said last night, you show a lot of promise towards becoming one. Now, the tags that you added to the Lost Viking pages are understandable, but what you should try to understand is that not every user is interested in establishing guides worthy of "feature" status. New User did a lot of hard work to provide the Lost Vikings solutions that he did, and if that's all he's interested in doing, than that is enough and we should thank him for it, not chastise him for doing more. Some content providers are going to be obsessive like us, and some will be more casual. We want to encourage participation at all levels, because, although Lost Vikings is not a feature level, it's better than having no Lost Vikings entry at all. Someone else might come along and help develop the guide further, whereas they might not have been inclined to contribute if New User's work was not there at all. Please edit your comment to New User to take some of the "flame" out of it. Thanks. Procyon (Talk) 11:19, 12 January 2008 (CST)

P.S. One of the pages you tagged with cleanup, Astro Robo SASA/Gameplay, was mine ;) so if you want it cleaned up, you're gonna have to let me know how. Cya.

Talk:Total Annihilation/Units

I reverted you here because we need all the contributors to comply with the GFDL. As the history in WikiBooks is gone, we need to keep this on the talk page or in the history.--The preceding signed comment was added by Rocky (talkcontribs). 11:10, 14 January 2008 (CST)

The Wikibooks edit entry has to be there to show that we directly copied info from wikibooks - even if the content there has been removed. Thanks for tryin' to help anyways, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:50, 14 January 2008 (CST)
You don't need my permission to do anything - Philcha's the one who's going to have a fit xD Be bold, do it!--Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 22:34, 14 January 2008 (CST)
I am not going to have a fit. But please check out the proposed new approach at User talk:Notmyhandle ("Splitting of Total Annihilation/Units"). I've revised the description of Commanders as per that discussion and would welcome your comments - implementing a similar approach for all the other units is quite a lot of work, and I don't want to start until any possible issues have been resolved. --Philcha 06:42, 15 January 2008 (CST)

BSM all-caps

I reverted it because it violates content/style layering. (Basically, you're changing the content to change how it's displayed, which is wrong. What should be done to get that effect is to use CSS to render the text in capitals.) I've changed a few other instances where you've used caps in such a manner, but I'm sure I've missed some. If you know where the ones I've missed are, would you mind lowercasing them please? Thanks. --DrBob (talk) 13:39, 15 January 2008 (CST)

Meh. Thanks for the heads-up; I'll change them as I come across them. --DrBob (talk) 14:38, 15 January 2008 (CST)

Thanks!

For cleaning up Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars/Global Defence Initiative.
Hugs, Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:53, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

Feel free to move this as you like. I appreciate you taking on the MrSue nightmare. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:53, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

Thanks from me too. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. :-) --DrBob (talk) 11:14, 9 April 2008 (CDT)
MrSue is one of the pseudonyms he's chosen to use, but he's a wiki nuisance all across the net. He doesn't get banned outright because his edits are somewhat positive, so fixing his contributions and dealing with him is a pain. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:38, 9 April 2008 (CDT)

CnC3

I noticed you marked the Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath/New units page to be deleted soon from the ToC. Why is that? -- Prod (Talk) 09:25, 10 April 2008 (CDT)

We try to keep a game and it's expansion fairly separate. So if a unit is not available in the original game, it doesn't belong in the original game's guide. A good example is the Diablo II guide. -- Prod (Talk) 10:02, 10 April 2008 (CDT)
Thought you might ask that :). My suggestion would be, make a section of "these original units have been changed" in the expansion's guide. Then in the original guide, add a sidebar that tells about the addition (check out the sm64 guide). -- Prod (Talk) 12:38, 10 April 2008 (CDT)

Also that page is also to list modified units like the Vertigo have upgrades and the Zocom Mammoth Tank does not have railguns. That page along with the game has many changes.

Anything entered here is released under the GFDL. It's "open source" so anyone can copy it. However, it has some fairly strong requirements for reuse. If it's copied from here, attribution has to be given to previous authors, and all the content must be released under the same (or newer version) of the GFDL. -- Prod (Talk) 14:09, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

Why was this edit reverted (apart from being badly written)? -- Prod (Talk) 20:05, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

CnC3 template

Perhaps a template for the listed attributes for each unit would be appropriate? If you need help creating one, just let me know. --DrBob (talk) 14:14, 10 April 2008 (CDT)

I'm sure there will be parameters missing, but {{CnC unit}} should be a good start. --DrBob (talk) 14:45, 10 April 2008 (CDT)
Updated. I'd suggest you take a look at the template in case you want to rearrange the parameters. -- Prod (Talk) 14:05, 12 April 2008 (CDT)
Template:CnC unit. Template:CnC unit/Documentation is just there to tell other people how to use it. If you do make permanent changes to the base template, make sure you update the Documentation page after. -- Prod (Talk) 16:27, 12 April 2008 (CDT)
Image has been fixed. --DrBob (talk) 12:34, 18 April 2008 (CDT)

BSM walkthrough redirect

Why did you create this? No pages link there. --DrBob (talk) 16:57, 20 April 2008 (CDT)

I was referring to the walkthrough page, and Wikia linking there seems an adequate enough reason to keep it. :-) --DrBob (talk) 17:11, 20 April 2008 (CDT)

Image names

Hi Arrow. I'm surprised by the names of the images you recently uploaded. You know better than this. If you get around to it, could you please reupload those files with better names? Something with at least C&C3 in front or something, that's all that's really required. Thanks. Procyon (Talk) 12:56, 6 May 2008 (CDT)

Yeah, the multi-upload thing is a known issue. It's been discussed on the forums. I'm personally not too sure how to fix it, and people are rather stumped on how to find a solution. I'll let you know if we think of anything. Procyon (Talk) 16:15, 6 May 2008 (CDT)
Command and Conquer 3 Support Powers is not a valid category name ;). Perhaps the generic Game Name images category might be better? -- Prod (Talk) 23:05, 23 July 2008 (CDT)
Category:Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars images is usable. -- Prod (Talk) 10:52, 25 July 2008 (CDT)

Your Recent Edits

You better Be right about your edits. If you think your edits are better than MrSues then please if you remove images please find their replacements.(75.22.87.183 16:13, 2 June 2008 (CDT))

It doesn't take very much to have edits better than MrSue's, so I think Arrow is in the clear here. --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 18:04, 2 June 2008 (CDT)

Everyone is not in love with your edits. Your edits include targeting pages that has been started by another user that has been at that page first including CNC pages, flaming others and finally you are just like that Dark Jedi Darth Vader. We do not like your edits because they are boring and not very interested and worst my computer internet browser refuse to load when I go to a wiki. Every time I go to another website like Wikia the F***ing Firefox wont load that website.(76.211.140.246 16:31, 21 July 2008 (CDT))

MrSue, please stop flaming. I know you have a horrible track record elsewhere, but I'm trying not to think of it when talking to you to be as fair as possible. If you are having issues with Arrow's edits, why don't you come onto IRC so you could talk out your differences and figure out a way to work collaboratively (I know Arrow is on there quite often)? If that isn't working, perhaps you should find another guide that you feel like working on. Also, don't blame Firefox, blame Wikia... it overuses javascript which slows down load times horribly. --Skizzerz (talk · contribs) 21:32, 21 July 2008 (CDT)

Darth Vader, huh? Well I find your lack of faith in my edits...DISTURBING.

But in all seriousness, if you think you can do a better job, then go ahead and edit me. Then Skizzerz and company can revert it if they want. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 08:39, 22 July 2008 (CDT)

IRC

Nope, IRC is working just fine. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:13, 24 June 2008 (CDT)

Yeah the IRC server has been down for over 24 hours now. Also, it seems like the website is taking a hit for some reason as well... You should ask Skizz or Prod about what's up. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 14:02, 20 August 2008 (CDT)

Red Text?

On Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars/Nod buildings there's red text in some of the infoboxes, yet no key at the top tells me what this indicates. Either it should be removed, or made understandable. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:02, 7 August 2008 (CDT)

It's the same thing as the GDI buildings. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 07:14, 7 August 2008 (CDT)

Achievements

The achievement page deserves to go on it's own, and the cheats don't really belong there. I don't think there's a problem with it being alone, but if there's another page you can put it on, that should be fine too. -- Prod (Talk) 09:11, 7 August 2008 (CDT)

Would renaming the achievements page "Extras" be acceptable?--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 15:22, 7 August 2008 (CDT)
It's an achievements page, so not really. The 2 images per page is a suggestion, not a requirement. -- Prod (Talk) 16:06, 7 August 2008 (CDT)
But still; is it worth it to have literally 4 sentences and call it a completed page? To me it would sound a little incomplete, and be better off merged with something else. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 21:00, 7 August 2008 (CDT)
Creating a separate cheats page is necessary for those who want to quickly find cheats... --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 14:54, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
Cheats, codes, glitches, etc. can all go on the page as well. -- Prod (Talk) 16:33, 8 August 2008 (CDT)
(just bringing the indents back so as to not go off the page) The thing is there are no special codes that I'm aware of. The glitches are minor and not very noteworthy. That leaves just Cheats. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 09:43, 9 August 2008 (CDT)
What sort of cheats? If there are no codes... then what are you talking about?. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 11:20, 9 August 2008 (CDT)
Well when you refer to 'codes' I was assuming you're referring to third-party codes like GameSharks or something. PC obviously doesn't have one but the Xbox may, I don't know. There are only two cheat codes, one for PC (Input a specific name for a profile and get everything) and one for Xbox (input a specific button combo for same effect). --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 12:37, 9 August 2008 (CDT)

Hi Arrow. Sorry to over-write your ban, but we try to avoid perma-banning IPs since they are usually dynamically assigned. You may be perma-banning a whole bunch of people. Something stern like a month is good enough to deter the trouble maker. Perma-bans on named user accounts are fine, but only if they've been warned before. Procyon (Talk) 17:48, 26 August 2008 (CDT)
Which one are you talking about?--Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 18:09, 26 August 2008 (CDT)
You've only got 4 bans ;). I'd suggest checking out the guide. Also, why is this unacceptable? -- Prod (Talk) 21:47, 26 August 2008 (CDT)
Because there's a guy out there who uses that name, and Skizzerz has heard about him. See here. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 21:52, 26 August 2008 (CDT)
Quickly looked over that, and blocking one username won't do anything... And until they do something bad, it could be someone else. -- Prod (Talk) 21:58, 26 August 2008 (CDT)

Super Mario RPG

There are indeed timed hits in SM:RPG. You press the attack button again just as an attack is about to hit and you'll score a critical. For example, Mario will punch and then uppercut. Mallow with punch with one hand and then again with both. It should work on an emulator too.--DukeRuckleyTalk | Contribs 01:52, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Mabinogi images

Those images look like they're taken from the game or other literature from the developer, so yes they're not covered by that wiki's licence, and you're free to use them. Basically, any publically-available reference content, or images from the game, is free use and can be used on StrategyWiki. --DrBob (talk) 17:53, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

For the lulz. I didn't know I could do that. What's even more surprising was how I was able to unblock myself. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 17:54, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Maybe because you're a sysop, and they can unblock users. But I don't see the point in being able to block yourself if you can just unblock yourself straight away. The world is a strange place \: / --Melon247 17:59, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

DMC4 and other deletes

I saw that you started deleting some of the pages I'd marked, so I thought I'd go ahead and drop a note here: all images on Devil_May_Cry_4/Achievements have duplicates that are named (more or less) the same without the DMC4 prefix. One of the moves apparently was messed up pretty badly, since I found the file through the double redirect report. I fixed the page to link to the DMC4 files, so I was going through and checking to make sure they didn't have other links to the files, then marking for deletion. Thanks for the help.--~Vizeroth~-- 06:18, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Mabinogi

Looks like there's quite a bit of information on that site already. It's going to be hard to get a good community around that game with a better wiki resource already out there. They seem to be trying to put together all information about the game. Our focus is on the guide. So the questions are, how much of that is useful, how much would people actually come to see, and how much is required to support the actual walkthrough? -- Prod (Talk) 20:24, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

The two main guide sections are usually quests and character building. -- Prod (Talk) 21:37, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: wolverine

You can view the IRC banlist by typing "/mode #strategywiki +b". Once the list appears, find the hostmask of the one you want to remove, then type "/mode #strategywiki -b <that hostmask>", such as "/mode #strategywiki -b Wolverine!*@*"

You can also set timed bans that expire on their own. Type "/msg chanserv help tban" for more info on that. --Skizzerz 21:08, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Warcraft III

The custom map levels are some of our most visited pages. We should only cover the major ones. DotA even has a Wikipedia article. -- Prod (Talk) 15:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

They don't need equal coverage, only the important ones. DotA is undeniably the most popular (and also the most visited page in the WC3 guide). When I played, footmen wars/frenzy were there a lot as well. We don't need to cover the smaller ones which barely anyone plays, but we should cover the big ones. -- Prod (Talk) 17:35, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Finished the undead campain

i have finished the undead campaign if you want to look through it and give me some feedback on edits that need to be made

we may have a problem with the presintation according to scott we need a VGA cable to connect the laptop to the podium and then use the input switching on the remote. do you have a VGA cable or are we going to have to think of something else real quick —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dragonsl5 (talkcontribs) .

Battlestations games and actual history

I saw the edit to the main page of Pacific discouraging users from commenting on historical inaccuracies, and I had an idea for you. You could create a Historical comparison or Historical inaccuracies page in the Appendix so people have a place to go with that stuff, instead of putting in the guide. I know that ultimately it shouldn't be on the guide at all, but if there is a high occurence of those types of edits (you'd know better than me how it went with Midway), then it might be an improvement. - najzereT 00:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

BSP

Hey, and thank you - Its good to see you substantiated on my sub-par writings! ;-)

From now on with reference to the image naming, I will make sure to differentiate BSP from BSM, thanks for the heads up.

With reference to the Tone-class information, it is most likely inaccurate - the armour difference I derived from the 4 star rating on the pull out poster that comes with the game, whereas the Mogami and Takao get just three. In future I shall make sure this information is more accurate.

I wasn't aware of the Prima guide preview, but I'm not sure if you think I used it or that you are warning me to be wary of it, either way I will stay clear of it. One question I had though:

Where do you recommend I get my information regarding armament from if not Wikipedia? The game itself doesn't go into much depth, any help would be much praised :-).

Seeing as I'm new here, could you point me in the direction of the easiest way to contact you and Incline (or is User Talk the best way?), I'd be happy to help if you want me to. Cont.

Thanks again. I do have Midway, and in future I will look up the information.

A good idea might be a good idea to use a combination of Wikipedia, the website and game descriptions and Midway to roughly work out the armament specifications, then as you said just fire them in game to get the numbers? It seems the most accurate way, but yes very time consuming!

The pull out poster in the game box, how accurate is that generally? For example if one ship has 3 stars and one 4, you can generally assume that it is preferential, or is it better not to rely on it?

Final thing, with the game guide for mission no.7 in the Japanese campaign (invasion of midway), I found it much easier to launch two fighter squadrons and six Val squadrons to attack the airfields - the overwhelming as stated in the guide never really happens otherwise and you get way too many enemy planes for you to handle. Also, the sub is only available if you get a gold in a previous mission. But I guess its up to judgement and playing style whether thats a better technique.

Yamato

Just a heads up, I'm starting my research on the Yamato using BSM & BSP to get accurate armament info. =)

Shoho

Any ideas for the Shoho? I can only find it on the 'Saving the Shoho' mission, and the fact you cannot control it, the lighting situation and the constant enemy attacks make it difficult to recognise armaments. So far I've worked out the basics - on each side there are two AAs and two artillery guns, somewhere I have the rough measurements too.

Rockets

Well I mean I tested them a fair bit, they are useful against pretty much any land batteries and even have primitive use against headquarters or stuff like shipyards, but its up to you how you want to class them?

Update

I'll beat you to it and check it out tomorrow =P If you are right i'll make the changes.

Update II

Just doing the G3M Nell, I checked out the rockets and you are right so made the appropriate changes.

Thanks

Update III

Sorry for the little progress recently, tied down with exams =(, but I'll put up the next one either tonight or tomorrow.

BSM edit patrol

Could you take a look at this diff and patrol it if its legit, or patrol/revert it if its not? Thanks, --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:22, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

And this one please. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:58, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Progress

I only wish I could have done more in the time, but between work experience and revision I'm finding it hard to get anywhere near the 360, but I'll hopefully do the next one soon.

Page deletions

Hi, I just wanted to say that I disagree with your recent deletions of those Battlestations: Pacific pages. The pages weren't vandalism, and I don't think deletion powers should be used as an editing tool to give yourself a blank slate to work with. ZuuL155 has as much right to edit the wiki as anyone else, but now his contributions are completely gone, and if no one remembers to restore those pages after you've recreated them, he won't even get an entry in the pages' histories. Perhaps they weren't as well written as the other pages, and didn't conform to the same layout, but I have to think that any helpful information a user was willing to give is better than a red link. I'll leave whether to restore them up to you, but I wanted to air my concerns for your consideration. Thanks, — najzereT 16:11, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

I agree, the delete function should not be used to remove content. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:52, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Blanking pages

While you're working on pages (I'm assuming offline, since nothing is happening on the pages), what is the harm in keeping the existing walkthrough up? At worst it doesn't look like the rest of the pages in the guide and at best it helps someone who was looking for information. Having a blank page for days at a time on the other hand doesn't help anyone. I'm trying to understand why you think the rules on blanking content are somehow different for you. — najzereT 15:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Patrolling

Hey, just a heads up, but you might want to watch the edits a little closer when you're patrolling RC. This edit needed some major work (content below Footer Nav, drivel) and the huge series of rapid-fire edits to the Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings pages should have sent up a copyright warning flag. If other admin are rushed, they might skip patrolled edits to save time, so it's kind of important that you don't sign off on them unless they're okay. Thanks, — najzereT 16:34, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

BSP images

Hey, when you get a chance, would you take a look through Special:UnusedFiles and see if there are any images you can use or get rid of? I know you're in the middle of making the guide, so I assume most will be used as you go along, but some are a couple months old and I wouldn't want you to forget about them! :D — najzereT 20:26, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Most of those aren't mine, they were uploaded by Incline. Those sections are done though, so I think I'll just delete them. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 20:31, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! UnusedFiles has been slowly whittled down from over 500 files, so that was a big help! — najzereT 20:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

BSM edits

Hi, you appear to be undoing all my edits on the BSM page. Why do you keep doing that? 81.174.250.56 11:34, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: Navs

I wish I could help out more, but I don't have any of the pictures of the battlegrounds. I only have map descriptions of the final two left. the rest of the data (the pictures, what spawns what, ect,) is all up to you, arrow.
