Editing Eternal Sonata/Chapter 1: Raindrops

==Path to Tenuto==

After the intro cutscene you will be in control of [[Eternal_Sonata/Characters#Polka|Polka]] on the Path to Tenuto. Follow the path and save when you find the save point.

As you approach the first enemy, a Very Very Empty, a Battle Tutorial will start. This will explain the [[Eternal Sonata/Battle System|battle system.]]

Before the steps ahead go down to the right for a  [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Peach Cookie]]. Follow the path and you will come to '''Path to Tenuto: North Section'''. Continue along the path and you will get a cutscene. Once it has finished open the nearby chest for another [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Peach Cookie]]. Continue all the way north to Tenuto Village.

==Tenuto Village==

Go up the steps on the right.  Pay attention to the resting traveler in front of the house.  You will see him again and again.  Enter the house. Search the shelves on the back wall for a [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Peach Cookie]]. Go back down and over the bridge. Pass the man and horse and follow the sign pointing to the Flower Field. To the right as you enter the field there is a wooden shed. You will find a [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Floral Powder]] here. At the far side of the field there is a bush under a large rock. If you search it you will find an [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Angel Trumpet]].

Return to the village and enter the first house, next to the Flower Field sign. This is Polka's house and you will get another cutscene.

==Ritardando==

After the cutscene head to the fountain in the middle of town to find 10 gold. Move south past the flower stall and search the boxes near the Hideout for an [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Angel Trumpet]]. Return to where you started and enter the sewer to the east.

At the top of the steps in front of you is a church - if you run out of healing items and your HP is low when you are in the sewers, you can return and enter the church. There is a Priest inside that will heal you for free.

==Ritardando Sewers==

After another Battle Tutorial follow the path all the way north. It is advisable to fight all the Florite mice you can. Try to run into them from behind as this will mean you start the fight behind them, giving you an extra turn. Avoid using [[Eternal_Sonata/Move_Mastery#Beat|Beat's Vivid Shot]], you can only carry 12 photos at a time and it is better to save the slots for the upcoming boss fight. By doing this you will get a lot more money. Open the chest for a [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Peach Cookie]]. Go back and cross the first bridge. Walk south for a chest with an [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Angel Trumpet]]. Move back up and enter the glowing wall section for '''Ritardando Sewers: Centre'''.

Walk straight over the bridge and through to '''Ritardando Sewers: East Side'''. Open the chest here for a [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Poison Whitecap]]. Head back to the centre section and walk north. There is a switch on the wall to open the gate that's blocking the way. Once it is open go all the north for a [[Eternal_Sonata/Items#Use Items|Peach Cookie]]. Cross the bridge made out of a ladder and walk north. Enter the glowing wall section for '''Ritardando Sewers: Center'''. 

There is a Boss fight coming up. If you are not at least level 3, go fight some more Florite mice. Be sure to add some healing items to your Item Set so you can use them during the fight, and save before going north for the Boss fight.

First take out both of the mice. Keep Allegretto in the light so he can use Sun Slash on Bread Gang. Use Beat's Vivid Shot to take 12 photos then move him into the shade so he can use Rapid Shooter. If you can time the attacks you shouldn't take too much damage.}}

==Tenuto Village==

Before heading to the forest you can pick up some useful items from around Tenuto. At Polka's front door go west and follow the path down to the water for a Floral Powder. Then go into the house for a conversation between Polka and her mother. When you can, go into the bedroom and search the plant for an Angel Trumpet. Leave the house and cross the bridge. Search the flower patch next to the steps for a Peach Cookie. Go up the steps and follow the path to the forest.

==Heaven's Mirror Forest==

Follow the path then go east for a Poison Whitecap in a chest behind a L'Opera Knight. Return to the fork and go north to '''Heaven's Mirror Forest: South'''. Follow the path and then go west for an Angel Trumpet. Head back and go northeast up the steps to '''Heaven's Mirror Forest: Middle South'''. Follow the path and go east and up some steps for a chest containing a Walking Parasol, a new weapon for Polka. Follow the path to the west just before the white arch, and go down some steps for a Poison Whitecap. Head back and go north, through the white arch, to find '''Heaven's Mirror Forest: Middle North'''. Go north down some steps for a Copper Necklace, then return and follow the path west until the save point. 

You should be at least level 4 before entering this Boss Fight. If you have fought all L'Opera Knights so far you should be level 5. Check that you have healing items and some Angel Trumpets in your Item Set before saving.

This Boar can be pretty tough. He has a charge move that will do a lot of damage. Keep Polka in the light so she can heal with Orange Glow and keep Frederic in the Boar's shadow so he can use Piu Grave. Getting your timing right when guarding against the Boar's attacks will help in your survival during this fight.}}

The Forest Boar drops a Bamboo Shaft.

With Party Level 2, you still have infinite Tactical Time, but once you start to move a party member the Action Gauge will count down, even when you are standing still. You now create Echoes when you hit an enemy, which will increase the power of your special attacks. This helps you to take an emeny down quickly. Echoes are explained further in a tutoral in the next area you reach.

==Ritardando==

Now that you are back with Allegretto and Beat, equip the Saber that the Bread Gang dropped to Allegretto. Go to the weapon and item shop, in the building north of the fountain. Sell all the photos you took of the Bread Gang boss. When a shopkeeper says "There is a photographer in the shop today" you will get more money for any photos you have. Buy as many Peach Cookies and Angel Trumpets as you can hold or can afford, but don't buy any equipment here as none of it is an improvement. Although the Mail Shirt will improve Beat's stats, you should save your money as you will find new clothes in the next area.

Make your way through the sewers to the area where you fought the Bread Gang to find the kids. Trade your Rat Tail to the girl for the Stick, then leave the sewers.

Before you leave Ritardando, head south past the fountain and then west down a path to the beach. Follow the ledge to the right, to find a man sitting in the corner. He will trade you his dentures for the stick you got from the kids in the sewers. Come back up from the beach and leave town on the west path, which slopes up from the fountain, past the houses.

==Agogo Forest==
Your first fight in this area will be against a Very Very Empty and it will contain the Echo tutoral. After this fight, go up the steps for a Copper Necklace. Follow the path north to reach '''Agogo Forest: Middle South'''. Head north for a Serpentine Lock, a new weapon for Beat. Walk back south, and then take the northwest path until you reach a Great Coconut. Go east for a Light Guard, new clothes for Allegretto. Now that you have equipped the Light Guard to Allegretto, you can give Beat the Mail Shirt.

You can talk to the painter down here but you can't help him yet.

Return to the fork and go to the save point. Be sure to restock your Item Set before heading into this Boss Fight.

Kill the Florite Mice first, as they are able to heal themselves and each other. Use Beat to build up Echoes with his regular attack, then use Allegretto's 32 point Sun Slash. Fighting with this tatic should take him down pretty quickly.

Again, the timing for guarding the attacks is important and will help you take a lot less damage.}}

The Baby Dragon drops a Stone Sword Hilt. 

===Agogo Forest cont.===

After the cutscene you will be back with Polka and Frederic in Agogo Forest. Equip the Bamboo Shaft and the Stone Sword Hilt to Frederic and then use the save point ahead. Head northeast and then west past a fence for a chest containing Pretty Clothes for Polka. Walk north, up the steps and follow the path north, past the steps, for a chest containing a Glowing Tail. Go up the steps you just passed and walk north for a chest containg a Wet Umbrella, a new weapon for Polka. Go south and over the bridge and follow the path up the steps, continue through this area and up another set of steps. Fight the Gaint Coconut to the west for a Hunting Coat, new clothes for Frederic. Go back and follow the path east to the save point.

Follow the same path that you did with Polka and Frederic. All the chests will already be opened. Once you reach the clearing where Fugue fought Polka and Frederic, speak with the old man. He will trade you his Green Paint for the Dentures. Head all the way back to the Painter you spoke with eariler, and trade the Green Paint for Long Johns. There is also an EZI Shrine where you fought the Baby Dragon. If you inspect it you will find 1 gold.

Return to the clearing where Fugue fought Polka and Frederic, then continue north along the path.

==Agogo Village==

After the cutscene, head back into the village before going to help Polka. Search the stall next to March for [[Eternal Sonata/Score Pieces#Score Piece 1|Score Piece 1]]. Continue east, past the save point, to find the village shop. Check the box next to the door for a Floral Powder then walk east behind the tree for a Glowing Tail. Go all the way down to the bottom of the tree to reach the shop counter.

Sell any photos you have taken and then buy the Cork Baton for Frederic, Breast Guards for Beat and Allegretto and Guardian Clothes to give to Polka later. Now buy as many Floral Powders as you can. The good thing with Floral Powders is that it restores a percentage of your maximum health rather than a fixed amount, so when you are a higher level you can still use these to great effect.

Once again restock your Item Set and return to the save point in the village. Save before heading west to help Polka.
