In multiplayer PC servers can hold a maximum of 64 players, Xbox 360 can hold a maximum of 8 players.

Most of the maps featured in multiplayer are set in either France, Germany, Russia or Libya, although some are set in other North Africa countries. Like the campaign missions you can choose to be a Russian, a British or an American soldier for the Allies. If you want to play on the Axis team then you have to play as a German soldier. But unlike the campaign missions and [[Call of Duty: United Offensive]] you can't use or drive vehicles.
