The Maplestory 2 (MS2) world is made up of segments called "Maps". Maps are connected to one another by connecting points called "Portals", or by transportation NPCs like Taxi.
Each map is loaded by the game program when you enter the map.
Towns
Towns are population centres of MS2 world. Villages are also town maps.
There are no wild monsters in town maps. Players gather in towns to rest and socialize. NPCs in towns provide services and goods, and assign quests to players.
The capital and the centre of MS2 world is the castle fortress city of Tria. They worship the Goddess of Light. The Royal Guard HQ is stationed there. New players go through Tria at the start of their adventure.
Tria is in the middle of Victoria Island, and around Tria are the towns Ellinia, Perion, Kerning City, Lith Harbour and Henesys. A new area has mysteriously appeared near Tria.
