Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is the first RPG featuring Mario characters. Although the game begins much like any other Mario game - with Mario, Peach and Bowser in a normal retrieve the princess situation - the rest of the game takes big leaps from normality. The game's story revolves around the revival of the star road, made up of by the seven stars; the significance being the stability of the world and protection from the evil Smithy gang (who wishes to disrupt such stability).
