The game does not contain any gore, excessive violence, or extremely frightening monsters. Beginners find that the game is not dark or violent, and that the environment is actually a sunny, friendly place with small sneevils ( tiny small goblins ) which actually look quiet cute and to the most evil-looking Thrak Ironhide and Big jack Sprat which are in the higher leveled places. Overall, gameplay is fairly simple: attack monsters, gain levels, attack stronger monsters and get higher ranks for your armour. As players spend time in game level up, they can equip new weapons, Capes , they must gain more Gold ( money ), and interact with others for friendship and help. Participants can also receive tasks, known as quests, from NPCs ( Non-Player Characters ) to earn additional rewards which are usually 100 XP ( EXP ) and Gold. AQWorlds player may also be banned for swearing. Not many has sweared but it's a very friendly place and gets more every second.

The game is an international game of Americian English but they allow anyone to join, from Singapore to China to America to Brazil. Each account has only 1 player but you may create a few accounts but not so many. You account Username is your Character Name which is the ID.

Although beginners may at first think the game is all about leveling up and hunting monsters, AQWorlds is also a place to socialize. With the Maple Messenger, buddy lists, and guilds, MapleStory is a typical MMORPG, where users don't always have to hunt monsters and level up; they can take a break and chat whenever and to whomever they like at anytime.
