Basics

  • The main objective in Pokemon is to catch Pokemon, Pokemon are randomly found in tall grass.
  • In order to catch Pokemon, you will need to use Pokeballs, there are many kinds of Pokeballs but the basics are Pokeball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball.
  • Pokemon are weak at first but get progressivly stronger overtime.

Controls

Overworld Controls

  • Neutral dpad - move in the appropriate direction (no diagonals)
  • R button/L button - help
  • A button pick up items, talk to people, etc.
  • Start button - pull out the menu
  • Select button - use a "registered" item

Battle Controls

  • Neutral dpad - Move around the battle menu
  • R button/L button - help
  • A button - Select an option from the menu(Attack, use item, switch pokemon, run)
  • B button - Go back
