Zanac

Template:Infobox Zanac is a scrolling shooter originally developed for the MSX and later released on several other systems. It was followed by Zanac X Zanac for the PlayStation, a compilation which contained both the original game and a sequel called Zanac Neo.

The storyline is straightforward: mankind has attempted to access the immeasurable secret knowledge stored by an alien AI known simply as The System; much like the story of Pandora's Box they instead unleash The System's destructive powers upon the universe. The System begins engulfing the galaxy, and it is up to the player to get past its defences and shut it down once and for all.
