Dark Seer is a melee intelligence hero who can be played as a support, a jungler and an initiator. He has a great array of skills that synergize very well with other heroes. His Vacuum is a powerful initiation skill that sets up other large AoE abilities perfectly, as well as being able to control enemy movement. He can survive the short lane or jungle quite effectively with Ion Shell, which is also a nuisance to avoid. His Surge gives him a great escape mechanism and an effective chasing tool, not to mention that he can place it on allies too. His Wall of Replica can become anything from an area denying annoyance to a team wiping power. He is considered by many to be among the best heroes in the game, and is certainly a hero one should never underestimate.

  • Ability: Target Point
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Radius: 250 / 350 / 450 / 550
  • Damage: 40 / 80 / 160 / 240
  • Mana Cost: 100 / 130 / 160 / 190
  • Cooldown: 28

Vacuum sucks in nearby enemies, interrupting channeling abilities and dealing damage. It destroys trees in an area around it and will pull units across cliffs. It is a powerful skill that sets up just about every area of effect ability in the game. You can catch a bunch of enemy heroes right into another initiation ability like Ravage and Black Hole. It can also deny opponents from escaping by dragging back towards your team.

Ion Shell[edit]

Dota 2 dark seer ion shell.png
  • Ability: Target Unit
  • Affects: Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Radius: 250
  • Damage Over Time: 30 / 50 / 70 / 90
  • Duration: 20
  • Mana Cost: 70 / 90 / 110 / 130
  • Cooldown: 9

Ion Shell places a shell around the target that will damage all nearby enemy units every second. It has a longer duration than its cooldown, so you can have two Ion Shells on two different units at the same time. It can be a strong harassment tool, as placing it on a lane creep will let you damage enemies without having to get close. It is also useful for jungling, as you can place one on a neutral creep and make it slowly burn away the camp's other creeps.

Dota 2 dark seer surge.png
  • Ability: Target Unit
  • Affects: Allied Heroes
  • Duration: 3 / 4.5 / 6 / 7.5
  • Mana Cost: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50
  • Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9

Surge gives the target maximum movement speed for a short period, making the target immune to slows. It can be vital for saving you or an ally when chased, letting you get to the safety of your base. It is also useful for chasing fleeing heroes, as Surge lets you or your allies catch up to them. Combined with Ion Shell, the enemy will take a lot of damage if they manage to survive at all.

Wall of Replica[edit]

Dota 2 dark seer wall of replica.png
  • Ability: Target Point
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Duration: 15 / 30 / 45
  • Damage: 150
  • Incoming Damage: 300%
  • Outgoing Damage: 70% / 80% / 90%
  • Mana Cost: 200 / 300 / 400
  • Cooldown: 100
  • Scepter Outgoing Damage: 100% / 120% / 140%

Wall of Replica creates a wall that will generate illusions of enemy heroes that pass through it as well as damaging them. You can also control the illusions. It is effective at area denial, letting you block off a lane the enemy team is pushing. Used at the right time in a teamfight and it will cause a lot of damage. As a teamfight is usually very chaotic, the enemy can lose track of themselves and their allies and generate more and more illusions that will attack everyone in sight.

Aghanim's Scepter can be bought by Dark Seer and will increase the damage done by Wall of Replica's illusions.
