MK Stage 4.png

Main stage[edit]

Note: In two-player mode, this stage is called "Stage 3A", as it is one of three choices for the third stage (the other two being Stage 5 and Stage 6, which are "Stage 3B" and "Stage 3C" respectively); however, you would only have those other two choices if you picked "Stage 2B" earlier and not "Stage 2A".

Once Happy has dropped down onto a platform (and Rappy with him in two-player mode), you shall come to three chests; once you have kicked each of these to open them, three rings will emerge from them. You will now have to drop down to the ground, and walk back to the left under a bouncing spiked ball as you come to three more chests - and once you've kicked each of these to open them, three more rings will emerge from them. You will then have to walk back to the right under the bouncing spiked ball, jump onto a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup (all instances of them can also be hidden in), drop back down to the ground, walk under another spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you, jump onto the second step of the ground and drop down to its third one, walk under a third spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you, jump onto another can of Campbell's Tomato Soup, and jump back to the left onto another platform as you come to two more chests; once you have kicked both of these to open them, a crystal and a seventh ring shall emerge from them. You'll now have to jump over to a third platform, walk under a fourth spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you, jump up to a third can of Campbell's Tomato Soup and jump over a leaking fire hydrant while slowing your descent to land on a fourth platform - and once you've landed, an ant will come walking towards you. Once you've kicked him away, you'll have to drop back down to the left onto the ground, turn back to the right, jump up, and kick the second and third blocks in a three-block stack to destroy them; once you've done so, you will have to collect three coins, as you come to a Mewky from the three previous Mappy games. Once you've kicked the Mewky away you will come to four more chests - and once you have jumped up and kicked each of them to open them four more crystals will emerge from them. You'll then have to jump back to the left onto a fifth platform and back to the right onto the third one in turn and jump over a fourth can of Campbell's Tomato Soup as you come to a crab who's walking back and forth; once you have kicked him away, you will have to jump over a fifth can of Campbell's Tomato Soup, onto a sixth platform, and over a sixth can of Campbell's Tomato Soup in turn, then drop down to the ground while slowing your descent to collect eight more coins. You shall now have to walk back to the left, jump up, and kick the second and third blocks in another three-block stack to destroy them - and once you have done so, you will have to walk back to the left to collect three more coins as you come to another Mewky. Once you kick this second Mewky away, you'll come to four more chests; once you have jumped up and kicked each of them to open them, four more crystals will emerge from them. You'll now have to walk back to the right as a ghost (which is neither like those from the Pac-Man games, or the "Ghost Town" areas in Mappy-Land) and another ant come hovering and walking towards you - and once you have kicked both of them away you will have to time a pass under another leaking fire hydrant. You will then have to walk under a fifth spiked ball as it bounces towards you, jump up to a seventh can of Campbell's Tomato Soup, walk under a sixth spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you, and jump up to two more platforms in turn as you come to two more chests; once you have kicked both of these to open them, two more rings will emerge from them. You must now drop back down to the ground and walk back to the left to collect two more coins (while watching out for a seventh bouncing spiked ball) - and once you have done so, you shall have to walk back to the right under an eighth spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you and jump onto two more platforms in turn to collect two more coins. You will now have to drop back down to the ground and walk back to the left as you come to two more chests; once you've kicked both of them to open them two more rings shall emerge from them. You will now have to walk back to the right under a ninth spiked ball, as it comes bouncing towards you, then jump up to an eighth can of Campbell's Tomato Soup and an eleventh platform in turn as you come to another crab who is walking back and forth - and once you kick him away, you will come to two more chests. Once you've kicked both of them to open them two more rings will emerge from them; you will now have to walk back to the left, turn back to the right and jump onto a twelfth platform to collect two more coins. You will now have to drop back down to the ground and walk back to the left to collect two more coins (while watching out for a tenth bouncing spiked ball) - and once you do so you shall have to walk back to the right under two more spiked balls as they bounce towards you, jump up onto two more platforms in turn, drop back down to the ground, turn back to the left, jump up, and kick the second and third blocks in a third three-block stack to destroy them. You'll then come to three more chests; once you've kicked each of them to open them, three more crystals shall emerge from them. You'll then have to walk back to the right and time a pass under a third leaking fire hydrant as two more ants and another ghost come walking and hovering towards you - and once you've kicked each of these away, you'll come to two more chests. Once you've kicked both of them to open them, two rollerskates will emerge from them; you shall then have to time a pass under a fourth leaking fire hydrant, and jump onto a fifteenth platform to collect two more coins. You will then have to jump onto a sixteenth platform and collect two more coins while a fifth ant comes walking towards you - and once you've kicked him away, you will have to drop back down to the ground as you come to three more chests (while watching out for two more bouncing spiked balls). Once you've kicked each of the chests to open them, three more crystals shall emerge from them; you'll now have to jump back to the left onto the sixteenth platform and jump to the right onto a seventeenth one in turn as a third ghost comes hovering towards you. Once you have kicked the ghost away, you will have to collect three more coins - and you will then have to jump onto two more platforms in turn, and drop back down to the ground as a fifteenth bouncing spiked ball appears to the left of a mousehole in the wall. Once you have jumped back to the left over the mousehole while slowing your descent to avoid landing on the spiked ball, you will come to two final chests - and once you have kicked both of them to open them, a fourteenth ring and a sixteenth crystal will emerge from them. You will then have to walk back to the right under the fifteenth spiked ball as it comes bouncing towards you and go inside the mousehole to proceed to the slot machine.

Slot machine[edit]

MK Slot Machine.jpg

Note: If you spin a Maneki Neko, Nyamco head or Happy head on the slot machine in two-player mode, then win the bonus game, Nyamco shall ask whether you want to steal a part from (or trade one with) the other player or not; if you answer in the negative, you shall be given 20000 Yen instead.

The slot machine is much the same as it was on the previous stages (including Nyamco's dialogue), but spinning a skull on it can still cost you a house part if you had won one in a question box, or had bought one or more from the shop (in addition to the initial penalty of losing 20000 Yen, which is also the penalty for losing a bonus game); once you spin an item that is not a skull in one-player mode (after the possibility of spinning one more than once, which if done enough times may end up losing you all the Yen you collected) and Nyamco has described it, he shall speak the following Hiragana text:

げーむは.... (Gēmu ha....)
はたあげ げーむ にゃんにゃん (Hata age-gēmu nya n nya n)
ミューターが とくいだにゃあ (Myūtā ga toku ida nya a)

You may remember from the first stage that in Zynk Oxhyde's English translation, the above text is translated to "I think Mewta is good at flag game."; once you have pressed A button to continue, the images on the slot machine's reels will change to the three anthropomorphic Mewkies' heads as Nyamco starts telling you who your opponent is going to be (remember that Mewta is the "normal"-looking Mewky on a green background, while Mewchi is the sinister-looking one on a blue background, and Mew-mew the happy-looking one on a red background). Once you spin the head of a specific Mewky, Nyamco will finish telling you that this Mewky is going to be your opponent - and once you have pushed A button to continue, the game will proceed to the "Flags" bonus game for a second time (refer to its section on Stage 1's page for a description). Once you've beaten the Mewky whose head you spun twice, Nyamco will hail Happy as the winner, and give him the prize you had spun on the slot machine; once you press A button to continue, the game will proceed to the shop. However, once Nyamco finishes describing the item you'd spun in two-player mode he'll say the following Hiragana text instead:

つぎの... (Tsugi no...)
はたあげ げーむ に (Hata age-gēmu ni)
かったほうに あげるにゃあ (Katta hō ni ageru nya a)

Again, you may remember that in the English translation, the above text gets translated to "Next flag bonus game!"; once you push A button to continue, the game will proceed to the "Flags" bonus game for a second time (refer to its section on Stage 2B's page for a description). Once either mouse beats the other one twice, Nyamco will hail him as the winner and give him the prize you spun on the slot machine - and once you have pressed A button to continue, the game shall proceed to the shop for the third time. It's also worth noting that once you've bought the second of the two flowers from the shop in one-player mode (regardless of whether you bought the first one from there or won it in a question box), the elephant will speak the following Hiragana text:

おや たんぽぽ がそろったね (Oya tanpopo ga sorotta ne)
それじゃあほかのものを (Sorejāhokanomonowo)
まけてあげよう (Makete ageyō)

In the English translation, the above text translates to "Flower bonus. Item prices dropped!"; the prices for the ten remaining parts shall then get lowered:

Part Original price Lowered price
Sun 95000 Yen 90000 Yen
Fence 17000 Yen 15000 Yen
Wall 99000 Yen 97000 Yen
Glass 28000 Yen 26000 Yen
Door 45000 Yen 44000 Yen
Chimney 68000 Yen 67000 Yen
Swing seat 38000 Yen 36000 Yen
Swing 53000 Yen 51000 Yen
Car body 75000 Yen 74000 Yen
Car tires 60000 Yen 59000 Yen

The prices will remain at these values until you buy the second part of the swing, at which point those of the eight remaining parts will get lowered again.

Shop[edit]

MK Shop 2.jpg

The shop is much the same as it was in the previous stages (including the elephant's dialogue); however, if you spun a skull on the slot machine in one-player mode earlier (and you did not win it back in a question box), the price for the part you lost shall have been returned to the wall. Once you (or both players in two-player mode) finish shopping, the screen will cut to the shot of the anthropomorphised Happy (and Rappy in two-player mode), looking at the pictures of their partially-built houses - and once the game returns to the overworld map, you'll have to push down on the D-Pad in one-player mode to proceed to Stage 5 or push right on the D-Pad in two-player mode to proceed to "Stage 4A" (which must be played as a result of picking "Stage 2A").
