Welcome to the game. Once your Solvalou have flown up into view from the bottom of the screen, the text "AREA 1. WELCOME TO THE NEW WORLD OF XEVIOUS! X SOLVALOU LEFT" will appear in the centre of it (X being one less than the number of lives that the arcade operator has set the cabinet to start with); at this point, if you should move your Solvalou to the right side of the screen, and drop a bomb on the diamond-shaped dark green patch in the forest below you, the text "This game is dedicated to the original XEVIOUS staff." will appear at the bottom of the screen and you'll receive 10 points. But regardless of whether you managed to make this secret message appear or not, eight groups of five Toroids will then come flying down towards you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two groups of three Borces will come flying down towards you while firing projectiles at you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a Barra and Zolbak below you; once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, three more groups of three more Borces will come flying down towards you while firing projectiles at you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to another Barra and a projectile-firing Logram below you - and once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them three more groups of three more Borces will come flying down towards you while firing projectiles at you. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to two more Lograms below you; once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, five groups of five Torkan and five more groups of three more Borces will come flying down towards you while firing projectiles at you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to another Zolbak and a projectile-firing Boza Logram below you - and once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them (as in all four previous titles, you must bomb the Boza Logram in the centre to kill it immediately), you'll have to drop a bomb on the location of the game's first Sol (shown in the above image) to make it reveal itself (but for it to count towards the 60 needed to reach Extra Area 3, you must kill it too).
Once you've dropped another bomb on this Sol to kill it, you'll come to three Yokomuki Grobda which are moving to the right below you; once you have dropped a bomb on each of them to kill them you'll come to a third Zolbak, three more Lograms and a third Barra below you. Once you drop a bomb on each of these to kill them, two groups of five Jara will come flying down towards you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a seventh Logram and a fourth Barra below you. Once you drop a bomb on both of these to kill them, seven more groups of five more Toroids will come flying down towards you; once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you'll come to two more Zolbak and two more Lograms below you. Once you've dropped a bomb on each of them to kill them you will have to drop a bomb on the location of the game's second Sol (again shown in the above image) to make it reveal itself - and once you have dropped another bomb on this second Sol to kill it you will come to a Powerup Core, two more Lograms, two more Zolbak and another Boza Logram below you. Once you drop a bomb on each of them to kill them (you must again bomb the Boza Logram in the centre to kill it immediately), the game shall segue into the second area as the text "AREA 2" appears at the bottom of the screen.
